Yesterday earnings again were up slightly. Not sure why, almost don't care anymore.
12:05 pm on May 29, 2013 (gmt 0)
Better than many other days. Today is a bit weird with impressions and CTR going up and going backwards. It just looks like the same weird stuff from Adsense.
1:05 pm on May 29, 2013 (gmt 0)
27 was good (first good one in days, weeks)
28 was terrible again...
again, having more traffic than ever before
4:01 pm on May 29, 2013 (gmt 0)
Crazy CTR today, almost like the good old days. I'm sure it won't last but its nice to see even if its only for a few hours.
6:05 pm on May 29, 2013 (gmt 0)
Yep. It did look a bit strange given recent history. Though as soon as some appeared, they disappeared.
6:19 pm on May 29, 2013 (gmt 0)
More give and take, stats up and down, I'll see tomorrow.
8:06 pm on May 29, 2013 (gmt 0)
This is the first time I've checked AdSense in a few days:
Monday- lowest earning's day of 2013
Tuesday- lowest earning's day EVER
Today so far- halfway between Monday and Tuesday
Banjaxed, fubard, beyond repair, call it what you like, it's almost totally knackered for me.
I'll leave it unti 31st May and then remove ... I very much doubt whether I'll get a call from Google asking why, it's been deliberate... well done guys!
8:25 pm on May 29, 2013 (gmt 0)
> I'll leave it unti 31st May and then remove ...
Are you going to replace it with anything else, or just leave blank?
9:34 pm on May 29, 2013 (gmt 0)
All that would happen is my overall page length would be shorter by a 728x90 plus some with a rectangular box at the end of an article.
It would simply look pre-AdSense or the same for people using ad-blockers.
I just can't be assed with all this deliberate manipulation any longer.
10:22 pm on May 29, 2013 (gmt 0)
I used Google to search for some recipes this morning. The first result was ....... ready for this? ....WIKIPEDIA
12:06 am on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
You all would laugh about the numbers I'm seeing on Adsense Panel...
or you would refuse to believe them as real
today is by far the worst day in all my Adsense history
I've been thinking a lot and I wonder:
- Is there something broken? for real? on G side?
- This is free traffic and AD impressions... and A LOT
- @azlinda, I'm seeing FB fanpages outranking serious websites
When did the rules changed? serious webmasters facing this? content is king, etc. Don't get me wrong, my traffic keeps growing, more than ever before, but Adsense broken. And I'm seeing terrifying testimonials of "new webmasters" sorry, bloggers (no offense intended you get what I mean) having less traffic but more earnings.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still far from a rant, it's just my logic not getting this.
2:24 am on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Very high earnings the last 2 days. Im happy.
6:01 am on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
I seem to have had a 20% boost since Penguin 2 - same(ish) traffic levels.
6:17 am on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
An average day today, but very low on impressions, compensated by a higher than average CTR.

Oh well, I searched for my industry's most competitive two word keyphrase and in the top ten was a woman's Pinterest page hotlinking images from two sites.
Is this the answer, is this the way forward with Google, should I create an account and hotlink my own images ... WTF ... You have seriously lost the whole complete plot Google!
8:56 am on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Google lost the plot a long time ago, HuskyPup,
It was around the time that Social Media emerged as a player. Google excels at spidering and classifying the dead web (static and informational content). The Social Media web is the live web. When Google tried to implement "universal" search, something broke and it has never been fixed. Adsense worked well on the dead web but the live web is giving it major problems as it may, I think, take an unchecked advantage of the "freshness" of a webpage. Thus anything that appears to be live to Google and Adsense is good.
Strangely, yesterday was the best Adsense day since the first week of this month. I don't know if the the pattern will be sustained today. I switched to a new webserver so it might seem slightly faster to Google.
9:54 am on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Haven't been hit as badly as you HuskyPup, but there was a big shake up some months back. My personal photos, have been scraped by all and sundry (given up sending DMCA notices and spending hours of the day scouring the net) and appear in google image search, where mine would turn up in the main results (now nowhere to be found). If I search for articles I've written, by quoting sentences, the most terrible scraper sites rank way beyond my own. The top keywords I ranked on for 7 or 8 years, now place me many pages down, but on other keywords where I had featured nowhere, I am now within the top 3. It's swings and roundabouts to some degree. For the most part it's definitely been a move in the wrong direction, not only in terms of losing quite a lot of traffic, but also in the sheer crappy results Google gives. When I search for things of personal interest, the results are shockingly bad. It certainly never used to be this way.
11:54 am on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Yesterday earnings peaked around 6:00pm even though traffic and page views continued to roll in. No click dump or corrections since. Once again, pretty hard to believe AdSense reporting to be in any way accurate to what's going on. So far, earnings puts yesterday at #9 highest for the month.
12:16 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
28 was goodish
29 was great (record for this month).
I really hope the trend will continue for June!
The "secret" is an increase in eCPM.
12:52 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Dead today. Nothing since 08:00 this mornig and it is now 13:52. Earnings seemed to freeze late last night.
2:41 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Has the US switched itself off or is Google just jiving many of us around?
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week have seen my lowest-ever click volumes and, of course, CTRs.
What date was it they brought in their new fraud detection? They can't blame me, I'm the other side of the pond!
2:52 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Well it was a public holiday on Monday, I think. But that generally equates to a temporary boost the day afterwards.
3:09 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Yesterday was really low. Surprisingly the sites have amazing traffic and amazing page views. I could be giving away banners for free and would make little difference. G searches are not good so I'm considering removing them and use my own site search to avoid people leaving the sites because I have that content.
Will try alternatives, the old say of "Adsense performs better" it's gone.
Oh yes I forgot that too, pinterest pages outraking pretty awesome sites. When someone performs a search about widgets specs, why sites with specs peform poorly while pinterest an FB pages with nothing but "likes" outperform them? G has gone wrong many times in the past and it's been fixed as time goes by but the latest changes have been wrong by months, just too long.
G, what's wrong? are you punishing us for refusing to play your game?
- You created a G mail account for me (for adsense) while I never asked and tried to avoid this. And no I don't use it.
- You suddenly created a G+ account for me while updating my name on youtube.
- You subscribed me... you send me recommendations about stuff I should read
- You send me advice on how to increase my earnings and it's plain wrong, I always delete those messages, nonsense.
- Yesterday I receive emails telling me to upload a picture for my G+ profile and complete it somehow...
I say it again: it's not a rant. Pretty easy to think it is but it's not. Content doesn't seem to be the king anymore and it doesn't matter if you are trying to solve a problem, do a search on G and you will not get truly relevant results. Problem? many will still keep trying on G, problem? many are not really interested on solving problems with the info they seek, just want to give a "like" to a page that says is going to solve things.
3:30 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
BTW, it's just me or you guys are all in the same niche? AKA "widgets".
I really don't use them but it seems to be a stiff competition on a relatively small # of queries.
I believe that many of your visitors are seeing Interest based ads, that's why the income is so variable.
Do you use Adsense + redirect for unused ad views?
3:46 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Yesterday high CTR and good earnings, today CTR is exactly half of previous day with no changes made. Still early but will see how the day ends up.
4:19 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Traffic continues to rise since April, but page CTR has dropped off from a mid-May high. Began to decline around the 22nd.
6:24 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
11:30am - Earnings just blew past all day yesterday. Hope it continues!
6:53 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
I market multicoloured IBA widgets which is why I'm probably suffering plus, in case you hadn't noticed, my widgets are in UK English and prounounced weejits... is this where I is going rong? :-)
7:53 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Hahaha ... Classic, absolute classic Google result, don't believe this if you don't want to.
Checking my Statcounter I saw keyword1 keyword2, following it through I was #1 however #2 was a Pinterest page with all its images hotlinked from houzz plus various other social hotlinking sites...
WooHoo, at this rate G you'll invent the perpetual motion engine, just get 'em all to link to each other... Marvellous idea, what next, web rings?
10:09 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
3:00pm - Earnings and click count unchanged for the last five hours. Stuck.
10:26 pm on May 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Yesterday was an "ideal" AdSense day, solely in the context of good CTR, good EPC resulting in good eCPM.
Just the usual lousy traffic for the last whatever months. I expect the "copycats" are booming.
