The new search layout is crucifying me, Page Views and Earnings both way down. The Germans have already started a petition against the new image layout, it's about time the UK and US did the same and get some of our lawmakers involved.

Best ever month. No doubt speaking too soon .....
6:05 pm on Jan 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
AdSense is totally fubard for me today, stats well and truly stuck with earnings at 10% of daily average.
8:16 pm on Jan 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
WTF is going on? Tuesday and today so far are the worst I've see all month! Horrid! ABSOLUTELY DISMAL!
8:39 pm on Jan 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
I expect to do well with AdSense in 2013 ;)
I just got my Tax form in the mail for 2012 :Z time to pay up soon I guess :C
8:53 pm on Jan 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Wow.!.!.! WTF indeed.
I've just struggled to 20% after 12 hours, this looks like being the worst day of the month by far, unless they're keeping a dumptruck load somewhere for me.
11:48 pm on Jan 30, 2013 (gmt 0)
Hope whatever the AdSense change was that hit my account on Jan 18th isn't spreading, if it is, you have my condolences.
1:55 pm on Jan 31, 2013 (gmt 0)
Today my CPC is down to 0.02 so far? How could it possibly be worse than the last three days? Well it is. Really BAD ending to a BAD month. :(
5:57 pm on Jan 31, 2013 (gmt 0)
JCKline, and I thought my CPC is bad today. It's just slightly better than yours.
6:10 pm on Jan 31, 2013 (gmt 0)
Today my CPC is down to 0.02 so far?
Is that the average for today?
That would hurt!
Of course a million 2 cent clicks might be ok.
8:42 pm on Jan 31, 2013 (gmt 0)
CPC way higher today than the rest of the month for me.

How about 4 !?! My CTR is just as bad today! Flat-line...

Still dead...no change...AdSense is broken.
5:15 am on Feb 1, 2013 (gmt 0)
Strange happenings here. Earnings way up today after abandoning DoubleClick for Publishers yesterday and going back to our old Adsense codes, placed directly. CTR is the main factor. CPC is the same, but CTR is twice what it was yesterday. In looking at historical stats, it looks like CTR did drop immediately after we started using DFP late last year (I didn't notice because we had Adsense on the back burner through December). I'm not sure what's going on here, but for the moment I'll operate on the assumption that it's a coincidence and that today's results are a one-day thing.

January's almost over in the US. Funny month, can't say what happened around mid month (search or adsense) but it didn't affect us in the end though AdSense seemed like we were loosing ground while traffic went up.
10:32 am on Feb 1, 2013 (gmt 0)
What a bizarre last day of the month with USA EPC at 150% and my main CMS image gallery having it's most Page Views (175.7%), Clicks (150%) AND highest earning's day (205.3%) and overall 3rd best day of January!
I did nothing so don't ask:-)
January 2013 v December 2012 111.74%
January 2013 V January 2012 109.4%
January 2013 v January 2011 62.2%
I included the last one since it was the run up towards Panda.

umm yesterday was ok as far as money and clicks though strangely i had 5 clicks from NL with a cpc of 0.00 ?and i dont understand how a CPC can be zero ? lol was it zero,ed out by goggle for like suspicious clicks?or can a CPC really be 0.00?
12:54 pm on Feb 1, 2013 (gmt 0)
Yesterday earnings stopped moving around 4:00pm. Hasn't changed since. January 2013 goes down as my lowest month ever since starting AdSense in 2004. :-(

@Play_Bach, I'm with you. Ended as the worst month for me as well. Praying for bigger February advertiser budgets!
1:35 pm on Feb 1, 2013 (gmt 0)
?and i dont understand how a CPC can be zero ? lol was it zero,ed out by goggle for like suspicious clicks?or can a CPC really be 0.00?
Yes, it could be zeroed out as invalid. That's the most likely scenario (I see that occasionally) I suppose it's possible that some clicks are only worth of a fraction of a cent too, but I dunno for sure.

thanks nutmeg lol .. im trying to get more revenue in through adsence but sofar everything iv done has reduced the monthly pot. and i learn t here that one of my ads was too close to some page links and people could have been clicking it by mistake so i moved it... which was probably good thing. but with all my messing and changing i cant tell whats going on anymore. probably best to leave it alone.. :)
2:55 pm on Feb 1, 2013 (gmt 0)
can a CPC really be 0.00?
Without checking aren't RPM ads shown as 0.00?
3:28 pm on Feb 1, 2013 (gmt 0)
I used to spend a lot of time tweaking, and then yea, I finally decided to leave it alone and it not only made more money, but caused me less stress. That said - it's never a bad idea to test test test.

January was another record month for me. Traffic up 90% Vs. Jan 2012 and Page RPM up 47%. Page RPM was down about 25% from December but I expected that as 1st QTR always starts low.
5:15 pm on Feb 1, 2013 (gmt 0)
Despite an inexplicable stall-out beginning on the 18th, January ended well above my expectations.
The best January revenue AND the highest grossing month since signing on in 2005!
Using HuskyPup's comparisons (on a ~200K PV/mo. site set):
January 2013 v December 2012 176.5% (but then December is always a struggle)
January 2013 v January 2012 133.1% (and last January was the previous highest grossing month)
Today, however, is starting out a bit on the low side.
6:49 pm on Feb 1, 2013 (gmt 0)
Chapman, the same happened to me. The first 18 days were superior, with dairy figures not seen since 2007.
In any case, a month not seen since May 2007.
My comparisons are:
January 2013 v December 2012 115%
January 2013 v January 2012 225%
January 2013 v January 2011 275%
We will see how this month ends.
