Interesting. My numbers crashed yesterday and look that way today too. I've never seen such a steep drop.
So I came here looking to see if anyone else experienced the same thing. Not good.

Today is the first time in a while our CTR is about half normal but EPC is way up. Traffic is a high-normal.

Wednesday's earnings were about 110% of January's average so far. Today started very slowly with a terribly low CTR however things have picked-up this evening (Europe time) and if I were to make a prediction it could be my best day of the month so far...I know I shouldn't have written that:-)

I say that all the time. Our Wednesday earnings seemed about what you saw.
In the last hour my claims from above are turning around - CTR shows a sharp increase and EPC has decreased - it's the middle of lunch hours in the US.

@sgod...that is probably worthwhile but I personally think most of us are just experiencing a January effect of advertisers not spending after the holidays. Should pick up as Valentine's Day approaches...I hope.

Compared to last month this month's CPC is down 40%, CTR's up 10%. Overall the RPM is down for about 32%.

I just noticed there is a definite lag with stats. One of my custom channel ads received a dismal click yesterday. This ad was removed almost a week ago. I checked to make sure the ad wasn't somewhere else by mistake (searching via dreamweaver), and it's not. I use "noarchive" to prevent Google's cache...hmmm, maybe Google translate?

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say anything positive in this thread LOL but this has been my best Jan ever, and I've been with AdSense for 9.5 years. I hope it stays as Jan is usually my lowest month. Traffic isn't up much but CPC and CTR are, they went up about a month ago (big time) and it's still up. I'll take it, and bank what's left after paying the bills, since you never know!

Could it be that there was some kind of an update on CPC limit for pages? Starting from this month CPC has dropped significantly for those pages that have "thin content."

Don't think so, I've had a couple of low EPC days but most have continued on from where they were in December.

I still can't work out why Adsense use CPC? Cost per click? What else could it mean?
EPC or Earnings Per Click makes sense. Then again, many things AdSense do usually baffles me.

The way you say that made me think they are trying to make us feel better by implying that is what it cost the advertiser (CPC) but that is larger than the % we earn (EPC). We could say "technically speaking, 'cost' isn't quite accurate", it's what OUR part cost the advertiser.
