CTR (click through rate) varies massively depending on a variety of factors. Forums and photo galleries for example have a reputation for very low CTR, with those you could be looking at less than 1 per day.

1000 impressions is a piss in the ocean. One person can do that on a site, depending on size.

And if you do get accepted, make sure you have a valid privacy policy. It is part of the Adsense TOS. These are often forgotten on blogs and wordpress sites.

Just guessing here but I'd expect about 30 clicks per day and $6 earnings if you're lucky so you'll make about $180/mo.

That should keep you in cable TV.

It could be more, it could be less.

YMMV

I get about 1% on content sites.

So 10 clicks/day if you have 1000 impressions.

I only know what you'll earn based in your page impressions. You will earn roughly 0.20 to 0.80 per day. Around $6 to $25 per month.

I would suggest you seek out a better paying niche cause that's crazy low.

I typically make more than your daily estimates per click and others make more than me!

I think jbayabas was referring to the OP, rather than his own earnings.

Wasn't jbayabas estimating the OP would get $0.20 to $0.80 per day from an account with 1000 visitors/day?

I'm sure there are AdSense sites that make that much per 1000 impressions, and some that make much more. Without knowing the type of site that OP has, can't say. And even if we knew, probably still couldn't say.

The aforementioned $6/day for a 1000 impression/day site sounds reasonable. But it might be less than a dollar a day, too.

That's possible 6 years ago. Not anymore. The OP would be lucky to get $1 per day consistently for that small amount of impression. UNLESS, those impressions are UNIQUE visitors, then his earnings will go up. But then again if he has 1000 unique visitors per day, his page impressions may be 3 times than that.

You can't lump everything in such broad sweeping generalities with such authoritative assuredness especially after someone else has said it's possible.

I have a few sites doing about that income for that traffic and some make even more for even less traffic.

Depends on the niche, traffic source and rate AdWords is currently charging.

Heck, it's a little on the low side IMO but I didn't want to get his hopes up because not all niches are the same and it could be next to nothing like you said.

If your site is authoritative and has been around for many years, then yes, you are correct.

If the OP is a newbie, which I assume he is (he just joined 10 days ago), then my rough estimate is correct.

Maybe I'm just doing something different that works better or doesn't fit the usual sites that trigger lower quality scores?

Who knows.

I'm not going to get into an argument about it but we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I do agree with that, and if the OP doesn't obey the rules, he won't have an account for too long.

My guess is you don't have many pages and you have a lot of quality traffic. Your estimate of $6 a day for only 1000 page impressions is remarkable.

One of my small hobby sites only gets between 150 and 300 impressions per day and earns, on average $5, per day.

Yes, but you are not a novice. The OP didn't bother to read the WebmasterWorld TOS, and no doubt hasn't read the Adsense TOS either.

And how many of the OP's vistors are not friends and family ?
How many visitors is the OP having ? He has mentioned 1000 impressions/visitors, but visitors generally create more than one impression.

Plus, it depends on niche, country etc.

A guess - like everyone else.
From what I have read here, I think a lot of people would get around 1% CTR giving you 10 clicks.
Plenty of people get less than 1% CTR.
A few people have talked about 5-10% CTR giving you 50 - 100 clicks.
However I would be very worried that a CTR of 10% would indicate a problem that G might not like.
Just my guess.

Yes, looking at my account, in both Sept and in Oct (so far), I have made about $6/1000 page views. I don't think it's anything special. I am hardly making a lot of money from AdSense - under $500/month.

Interesting. You must have very few pages and have very high CTR, above 10%. Don't be surprise when you receive an email from Google.

Your site must be authority and has been around for many years. You started in 2003 so I'm not surprised there.

@jbayabas: The CTR for the site I mentioned is less than 2%.

It is just one of the many sites I manage and I only mention it as an example of how much earnings can vary depnding on site content, visitor location, niche, etc..

Over that? LOL

My wife has one little site, it's not old nor is it an authority, that can easily generate up to $30/day on very little traffic simply because the items cost a lot and the advertiser are wiling to pay more per customer.

You really can't blanket all AdSense sites in such generalities because one-size of AdSense behavior does not fit all sites, never has, never will.

Touché! Perhaps that's the reason why Google does not want us to publish our stats because each site is different. I just find it incredibly amazing that your wife could generate up to $30/day with less than 1000 page views. If your wife and I have the same page views / earning ratio, I would be earning $7,000 per day. I wish!

It doesn't do that every day but does it enough that it's worthwhile. On that particular site, geared 100% toward shopping, serious shoppers for that niche tend to click just about every link on the page looking for stuff.

Trust me, if we could find more traffic for that site...
