Ditto here. First major shave ever.

How come everyone gets their finalized numbers before I do?
3:42 pm on Aug 7, 2012 (gmt 0)
They are probably packing them in a box of chocolates for you Netmeg. :)
3:57 pm on Aug 7, 2012 (gmt 0)
How come everyone gets their finalized numbers before I do?
It takes them longer to dig through all those clicks you get.
You've given them so much grief they are getting even?
4:18 pm on Aug 7, 2012 (gmt 0)
The latter is probably more likely than the former. I'm sure I'm on a list or have an asterisk next to my name somewhere.
5:04 pm on Aug 7, 2012 (gmt 0)
What % of earnings are you guys talking about? I typically get a less than 1% shave.
6:01 pm on Aug 7, 2012 (gmt 0)
1.1% shaved off mine which is pretty normal for me.
6:25 pm on Aug 7, 2012 (gmt 0)

No asterisk, they circled it in red ink :)
6:59 pm on Aug 7, 2012 (gmt 0)
Do you have "New payments experience" upgrade? Until being upgraded I used to see finalized earnings late too...
BTW 3% was "shaved off" this month... more like a cut rather than a shave... $10 from 100000 accounts and there goes million extra bucks for that month :)
7:29 pm on Aug 7, 2012 (gmt 0)
Around 4 per cent shaved off. Bit more than usual, but still July was my best month since January
8:13 pm on Aug 7, 2012 (gmt 0)
I see anywhere from 5-10 percent each month. Majority of my traffic is non-us.
8:15 pm on Aug 7, 2012 (gmt 0)

-11% each month
7:53 am on Aug 8, 2012 (gmt 0)
for all the previous months, i had around 1% cut.
During July, they have cut 12%, which is pretty shocking.
8:14 am on Aug 8, 2012 (gmt 0)
I've always had less than a 1% shave.
9:50 am on Aug 8, 2012 (gmt 0)
An "oh duh" -$0.92 which I wouldn't have noticed except for this thread.
On another note. I can't find the original thread.
The top bar [log out etc] is now legible after all these months.
Next month? Payments might be in the order of the most recent instead of what was 100 years ago.
Can't Google allow their employees out to mix with the "real" people in the "real world" for a change?
Surely the fresh air might bring valuable change.
12:31 pm on Aug 8, 2012 (gmt 0)
3.5% which wasn't as bad as I feared, given July was my best month ever by three times. Still a hefty chunk of change, but... it is what it is.
11:15 am on Aug 9, 2012 (gmt 0)
Around a 1% cut for me, seems to be Google's "bunce" money! But then again, I've just recently noticed that the same is happening with my Vibrant earnings.
12:17 pm on Aug 9, 2012 (gmt 0)
2.15% for me, I just wonder where this goes, ostensibly back to the advertiser or is it to someone's slush fund?
12:46 pm on Aug 9, 2012 (gmt 0)
I know for a fact some of it goes back to the advertisers, because I'm an advertiser and most of my client accounts have adjustments in varying amounts at the end of every month.
How much of it, I dunno.
4:42 am on Aug 16, 2012 (gmt 0)
Adsense just took some money off of my last months FINALIZED earnings marking it as "Other Debit"... I wonder if anyone else had this, and what in the world does other debit mean, like there is a debit that I know...
1:55 am on Sep 11, 2012 (gmt 0)
I lose an average of 0.4%. I guess that means my account is in pretty healthy standing. 11% is staggering! That's 3/4 days worth of dough!
3:48 am on Sep 11, 2012 (gmt 0)
J - -0.3%
F - +4.5% Try and figure THIS one out!
M - -0.2%
A - -0.4%
M - -0.5%
J - -0.7%
J - -0.9%
A - -0.4% Best month ever
I was holding my breath, after 2, 4, 5, 7, 9 and then PRESTO!
I was also bedazzled, when it showed up very early (the 3rd, I think it was.)
I guess One's Mileage May Vary - A LOT!
Am I just lucky, or is my obsessive attention to TOS details a factor?
12:31 pm on Sep 12, 2012 (gmt 0)
Ok something is going very weird with this - I had supposedly "finalized" earnings on Sept 1 where they took off $.34.
Then on September 7, they took off $10.12. On September 8, $4.28 and yesterday, $2.72.
And they're removing it NOT from the estimated earnings from last month, but from the current balance that is supposed to be paid at the end of THIS month.
So either those deductions are for August, which means there's no such thing as finalized earnings anymore, or they're for September, which means they're taking funds from last months earnings for this month's activity.
It's not a lot of money, but it's adding up, and if this is really what is happening, it means you will never know until you receive your payment how much it will be.
I sent an inquiry in to support on this. I find this disturbing.

Same thing here mate, but I think it's because of the volume.
1:41 pm on Sep 12, 2012 (gmt 0)
I don't know what that means.
1:48 pm on Sep 12, 2012 (gmt 0)
I assumed jabas gets a large volume of clicks...just like netmeg:-)
1:56 pm on Sep 12, 2012 (gmt 0)
Well not this time of year so much.
2:47 pm on Sep 12, 2012 (gmt 0)
Sorry netmeg.. I wanted to say that the reason might be an unusual traffic pattern.
PS: I have these for a few months now I think (it's still a very small amount), I reduced them (to almost nothing) by de-optimizing..
& Happy Internetaversary.
