Big click dump overnight. Must be old clicks catching up, there's never any traffic overnight in August.

Adsense hasn't finished load shedding - New publishers keep on coming, Ole time publishers abandon ship. The ones who stay can cope with working in the dark and still make some money.

That about sums it up.

With site trust and other long term factors, I wonder how many new publishers are coping though. Any new site I publish nowadays seems to take 6 months before G takes any notice at all. The get rich quick days are gone, although maybe some blackhatters are still able to game the system with new sites?

Not on my end. Yesterday ended at an all time low for a Monday, and today looks dead so far. WHERE'S MY CLICK DUMP!

Another seemingly solid day, but I'd have to have a fantastic week to make up for last week's catastrophe.

Yep, I've noticed this as well, images are particularly frustrating.

Suddenly the lights come back on - amazingly good revenue today.
Good clicks on all sites, widespread activity.

Unbelievable how advertisers and clickers "suddenly" meet on all my sites. Who flipped the switch?

Is it my imagination or has the design of the Adsense main paged changed very slightly? Good to know that the folks at the plex are fiddling with something useful whilst the city burns.

I've written off August as being worse than July for terms of earnings. Summer is always bad for me but it's never been this bad.

They've changed other pages as well. The ad review center has been made harder to use.

Yes, and I thought it was my imagination, until more often than not, the CSS won't render at all.

Still REALLY BAD here. Come on click dump!

Even with the new looks, a pretty GoodSense day.

The demo of the new Adsense looks at adsense.blogspot.com also states your revenue: 95.41 US$ for July 2012.

The other zero's pretty sums up august 2012 revenue and future months.

Clicks haven't budged all day. CPC and RPM are at all time lows. Where are the clicks?

Msg#: 4480845 posted 11:43 pm on Aug 21, 2012 (gmt 0)

My Page RPM for some reason has risen above average -- traffic below average for the month, but EPC strong today. Makes me wonder if some of the missing clicks from the previous few days have shown up.

Lousy all day. Click count didn't start moving here until well after noon (SF Bay Area). Hopefully things are just way behind and a correction is on it's way. Guess I'll know soon enough. In the meantime, I'm enjoying a beer.

Excellent Tuesday... This week continues as though last week's blackouts never happened.

Play_Bach - I can think of worse places in the world to sit back and enjoy a beer!

No CSS rendering problems here, but then I don't know what browsers/versions people are using.

Lucky you. Glad to hear it!
Unfortunately, can't say the same here. Tuesday had the second highest ad requests count all month, but earnings never made it past 25%. At least as far as my account is concerned, it just seems like clicks are being held back from being tallied while other metrics like ad requests rise. This pattern has been going on long enough now that I'm resigned to the idea that these big lags in updates are just the way AdSense in 2012 is.

That's the way it seems to me, too, P-B. Best day for two weeks adsense wise, yesterday, while page views were below average. Quite a few high priced clicks were tallied on one day. It would be nice to know the behind-the-scenes process at G.

I seemed to have had a taste of what you spoke about last week. I've seen other people refer to 'blackouts', and it's the exact word that was in my head when I'd have pockets of several hours during the day, when the only stats moving were increased viewings and decreasing CTR, with no forthcoming click-dumps.
At the moment (touch wood) I seemed to have moved through that, but maybe some accounts are stuck in this limbo and there is a genuine technical issue there. Unfortunately we will never know for sure.

> Quite a few high priced clicks were tallied on one day.

I suspect these are somehow composite "super clicks" that are scored as singles but are actually made up of several. Hasn't happened for awhile in my account, but there was a time a few months ago where I'd get a $4 click out of the blue. That didn't make sense until it dawned on me that this could simply be a placeholder for AdSense accounting. There's nothing mandated as far as I know as to how Google shares their numbers and no 3rd party oversight at all.

I could even see how such a scoring approach would be helpful for thwarting fraud and gaming of their system by offering fictitious click counts. The more Joe public doesn't have a clue how things are done at the Plex, the better.

2009 was my best year ever, specifically Sept 2009. Doubt I'll see numbers like that again, but I remain hopeful just in case!

Another slow day after an amazing good day,

Pretty sure the strict click validation scheme has the Adsense team struggling in getting tsunami's of clicks validated within the same day.

Bucketing 'suspicious' clicks might be the new approach, then validating the bucket lateron in 1 go - with a 'x' day delay. Clicks with 'good' signals get through much quicker, prolly within the same day / hour.

Bucket validation might produce the super click. I suspect quite a few buckets have been ditched, even might expire when not processed within a few days.

I dunno about the super click, but I'm reasonably sure about the bucket part. I don't think all clicks are validated at the same time; I never have.
