Have at it!

Slow start to what should be a killer month for me.

Yesterday never recovered and today looks much the same. It's as if G is keeping the monthly numbers in check. "This is about what you get a month, so we have to slow down the train to be sure you don't get more."

We call that the "glass ceiling". Almost everyone has seen it but people continue to deny it exists.

Painfully low CPCs today (< 10p), about a quarter of what they usually are...

Tuesday ended "average" (the new low), and today seems stuck. Just wait and see.

Lost 50% of my traffic, and my visitor numbers are always constant apart from a small dip at weekends. It seems to be a loss of google organic traffic, but it seems strange that it coincides with my banning of the Yandex bot.

Today traffic down again, as are clicks but CPC is way up (the effects of smart pricing?) so despite my traffic loss, today so far, is going okay. Yesterday wasn't good though.

Maybe I'm the last person to see this, but I've just noticed that on the larger skyscraper ads (that display just one text link, instead of the usual four), the font is giant sized and fills the entire box.

Ran some numbers today. June is typically my second biggest month of the year.

Best earning ad unit I have is the 320x50 mobile. It does not have the highest CTR, but the EPC makes up for it. Averaging over a buck a click, and we're not talking just tens of clicks, either. If you're not delivering mobile, you may be missing out. It's half my earnings so far this month, and my mobile traffic this year has jumped to 35 to 40% of my total traffic. We're feverishly working right now on improving the mobile experience a bit more - it's a little slower than I like.

Link units have all but dried up (and they used to do pretty well for me); I'm taking 'em off.

Image is averaging slightly better EPC than text.

YMMV.

Yesterday ended above average and today started strong, then slowed. I noticed that after allowing the in-stream ads on my YouTube vids, the CTR is way up. The CPC is very low, but I have already doubled earnings on vids.

There is a problem with some link units atm with either not showing at all, or only showing one category. Some however, are okay. I've no idea why it is doing it (plenty of advertisers for it, and no stop-words). They had supposedly fixed it, but it is not the case.

I'm seeing December like earnings in June with page views down 20-30%.

On pace for record June of all time. *knocks on wood*

Yesterday ended up an average day for the current month, but on course for a personal best. Today looking very good, CTR is
high and CPC holding nicely at the current average.

@Netmeg

I personal couldn't see the benefit of the mobile view, I have switched the optimized mobile viewing off my site and have since seen an increase with clicks from mobiles. I guess every site is different.

Anyone else feel as though there was data loss yesterday?

Why?

My lowest-ever click day at about 3% the volume of 4-5 years ago, yep 3%.

My lowest-ever CTR day at 50% 2012 average!

The only thing that sort of saved the day was an almost 141% EPC otherwise it would have been another disastrous AdSense day.

I had a similar problem Huskypup, though my traffic also seemed to take a nose-dive. Terrible number of clicks, low CTR and not great earnings.
Today CTR is low and clicks down - traffic's recovered a bit, but EPC is at a new record high. I've already easily smashed yesterday's earnings.

Traffic back to normal, and yesterday's earnings were good. It's just a see-saw from one day to the next - whereas once I had a nice smooth consistent line on my performance graph, which held steady even throughout weekends and holidays, I've now a sharp-edged, choppy chart that makes me feel sea-sick.

Good to hear some are still doing well. AdSense has completely fallen apart for me. Click count and earnings at all time lows. Depressing.

My Coppermine gallery has taken another smashing from the Panduin resulting in its lowest-ever page views on Thursday.

It was worse than a dead Sunday consequently I may as well remove AdSense from the gallery altogether and promote my own ads since 0.15% and 0.18% CTR is not worth having, it's a freakin' insult to be blunt.

Had my best day ever yesterday with earnings, clicks and CPC held up at current averages, so i'm over the moon.

Today however is different, I have not so far even received a single click!

Was going very nicely today, but I often have a good morning, then around 1pm-4pm GMT, my account seems to freeze. Hopefully there's a clickdump to come.

Doing quite well today, even got a click in the $5.00 plus range, thought they were not around anymore. Somebody must be new to AdWords.

The mods will probably cut this discussion to another thread, but before they do:

Nope, the mods will just cut from now on because moving a bunch of message to another thread is a real pain to do and we're not a clean up crew.

Some interesting topics too, real shame.

If you want to keep those messages, start a new thread.

Are you a Google plant?

Honestly, if you seriously believe that then it's time to go back to school. When I worked with Google in the early days they had brilliant staff with the most naive grip on reality and it's evidently never changed.

Google does nothing for valued publishers these days, it does everything for itself and corporate greed, period.

So, to Firday's bizarre earnings v May until yesterday:

Page Views: 79.1%
Clicks: 117.3%
CTR: 147.7%
EPC: 142.3%
eCPM: 211.9%
Earnings: 167.2%

Compared to Wednesday and Thursday with almost identical PVs earnings were 227.6% !.!.!

USA was 217.2%, all other countries within normal range.

Did I miss something?

My hunch HuskyPup is that English is not their mother tongue. Posts come off as just so much exaggerated fluff.
