Will the downwards spiral continue for some of us? Why do the supposed big earners hardly ever post?

Confused? "These questionsóand many othersówill be answered in this month's episode of...AdSense."

Nice last day of April and a promising start to the 1st of May, however as the past six weeks have been a total see-saw of unpredictability, I lack confidence for May.

I don't post when I'm having a good month, because I don't want to jinx it.

To answer your question...

For some yes and for some no... :)

Same as. I've had better earnings at 11:00 let alone 23:00

Unless I get a huge dump, this will be the worse day ever for me.

Yesterday wasn't as promising as it first appeared, but still finished on a good turn, on par with my better months. This morning looked good too in terms of clicks, but most came from India, so I don't think I'll make much from that.

Did it happen? I thought you posted you had stabilised out again?

1st May was my best day in two weeks thanks to a better performance from the USA and some nice valued clicks...I'm assuming AdWorders who got their decimal point in the wrong place!

UK click volume was absolutely dire dragging down my overall CTR and I have to also point out that our UK B&M business is garbage, on the ropes and being battered left, right and centre. Thank heavens we're still doing ok in other countries.

May started with a slump - long weekend holidays in the Euro zone (labor day) and Adwords budgets requiring a restart.

May month is extra payout for employed mom's & dad's summer holidays....and better weather with people away from the keyboards.

They did, for 9 days solid. No idea what happened, as I had more than the daily average to hit the site.

Second day looks like it will be as good or better than yesterday.... May 2nd looks like it is on track to meet or pass what I did April 2nd.

After having weird results for 2 weeks after Easter, things picked up back to normal around April 23 for me. The last 10 days have been mostly solid. Today looks pretty typical so far.

I don't typically post when things are good as I really only come here when things look stuck to see if others are experiencing the same.

I'm going to start a great rumor now: my stats improved after filling out the survey. Is it possible Google rewards us for providing them with useful feedback?

Today's a very good day, yesterday not so much and as usual it's the Page RPM that determines things. My traffic is very consistent day to day. What frustrates me is why the RPM varies so much over the same time periods.

It's not a matter of one or two superclicks skewing the metrics higher - today started off strong and has stayed strong. Considering I've been on Adsense for 5 years and have been diligently adding new content daily, these wild swings make no sense to me. C'mon Google, take a Prozac already!

I simply dont get it, why they are shaving 50% of my earnings everyday, nothing fishy going on here. I have this suspicion that they manually just cut the earnings in half and be cause they suspect something.

So far, May has followed in April's lousy footsteps. Earnings barely 20% of average. :-(

I'm getting some $1.75 clicks this morning, I never get clicks at this rate anymore, so I'm suspicious as to what's going on. Are the good days returning.

Zues:

Not quite as bad for me, but often in the 30% range.

Are you checking to see which channels the money is being reclaimed from? I've started doing that by downloading a copy of the days stats at late in the day and then again the next morning. Pretty interesting, in my case nearly all the reclaimed money comes out of one channels (I use about 40 channels. The channel losing the most covers about half my site. Similar ads on the rest of my page (same location on the page) do fine.

I'd maybe split that one channel further to see if I could narrow it down more.

Since lunchtime I had an awesome day, but in the seven or hours that passed since, it's pretty much ground to a halt, as though Adsense figured I'd made too much, so had to slow things down so that I didn't exceed my average earnings.

You can say that again - click counter's been frozen for 4+ hours. Hopefully the Google "dump truck" is merely stuck in traffic and will arrive eventually.

Nothing comes through since today - but traffic & Ads seem ok

The Adsense engine room operators must be wading their way through the massive amounts of money being earned.

ken_b - no I have not checked, but I just have this feeling they are deleting real earnings which they think is "fake" or something, but in reality, they are just cutting the income.

Yeah, if could even guess at where to split it and the hope to get a good enough connection with my broadband card to upload 1,500 pages while traveling.

Gotta give that a bit more thought.

I have been using google adwords to promote my videos, as I am a youtube partner, but since April 1st, my daily revs have declined roughly 90% , so much so, that I was actually losing money each hour with adwords, so I had to turn off all promoted videos.
Pretty disgusted in the recent change.
