I have major sites sections DOWN 97% from 2010. Luckily some new sections and others added some back in so the overall loss is only about 78%. It seems like things were going fairly well a few years ago. Why mess with it and I don't see how it can be helping any companies involved.
And some other ad revenues I have? Pretty much the same as 2010 and 2011. Adsense is the only thing that has been tanking.

Yesterday started off fantastic, and the day continued with a healthy number of clicks, but I've woken up to one of my worst overall days' earnings in the past month or two.

Worst monday for a long time! Whenever I do some drastic changes (blocked thousands of ads with the new manager) this happens. And today seems to be even worse.

Look, we all know something is almighty wrong at G, we've only just started the third day of April and already there have been 109 posts on the Google SEO News and Discussion Forum. At this rate it'll be going past 1,500 posts for a month!
Is it time there was an investigation into this company that wields so much influence or do we just let it die at the hands of its own incompetence?

I have the time frame on my account set to show stats for today, and twice now I've logged in and it was set for the last 30 days. Made me think that someone else was accessing my account. Not cool.

Just got a message on Webmaster Tools about another of my sites having a 'significant decrease in traffic', which is a shame. On top of that my primary earning website is back to April 2011 earnings. All the improvements of the past six months appear to have disappeared.

I've had that twice, recently. Both were for the same (deep-linked) page. No adverts on that page either.
Something is seriously wrong, but I cannot put my finger on why. (Apart from the totally off-topic adverts.)

I wonder if google can somehow tell good content from bad consent. Even if it is 100% original I wonder if it's graded in some way. The stuff I blog about I try to make interesting.
You end up having a audience that returns while you attract new viewers from the search engines.

Would there have to be human judgement involved?
Tonight I'm working on some fun plant articles along with photos of what I'm posting about. How could google define an "interesting" score unless someone reads the items to decide?

Not really. I once knew of a site where you could test your text. It would then give a result on how easy (or hard) it was to understand.
If you write grammatically correct, with little or no spelling mistakes, then expect to get good results. However, if your text is spammy, or reads like you're a Jerry Springer guest, then the results are poor. (eg: There ain't nobody here no-more)
