I finally got 2 well paying clicks a half hour ago. Just checked again and the earnings were almost all gone...from 2 lousy clicks. Really?

That happened to me the other day, and it took over 12 hours to get that figure back.
It's not as if people can mistake the adverts for content, so I am puzzled at to why this happens so much, and with £'s not pence.

I really think that Google is being a little over zealous on invalid clicks. There are at least a couple cases I read about where they took back a bunch of clicks because of "suspicious" traffic spikes that (to me anyway) sounded perfectly legitimate, and a result of either circumstance or seasonal changes. As the owner of some highly seasonal sites, this makes me a bit nervous.
I understand that they're probably going to give the advertisers the benefit of most doubts, but I wonder if they aren't going overboard.
Of course, we'll never know.

It seems to me that whatever they're doing it's taking a lot longer. Seeing frozen click counts for most of the day is annoying.

For some reason today is the best day so far this year, almost double a 'new normal' day.

Total and utter farce so far today...not even 50% of my April daily average at the moment...!
At what point does the AdSense drug no longer work for, I am going to presume, "western" businesses?
I have this feeling that very soon I am going to have to burn my bridges and just walk away, and I have done this clinically with bars, restaurants & widget suppliers, Google, do you comprehend just how frustrating you are?

I check about once every couple of hours. It would be great to see real-time reporting as they provide with Analytics.
Revenue seems to be coming back to normal, but I'm still down about 40% from a peak in October.
When numbers are up, I feel super motivated to work on the site. When the numbers are down, I still enjoy the work, but there just isn't that rush you get when things are going well.

Still can't figure out how the new Adsense scheme makes such huge profits in Q1 2012 with big accounts being hit by Panda, Adsense fiddling and what not. Q1 has a 20 % increase..

Not all people with an adwords account allow their adverts to appear on sites. Most I know only allow them on Google's search engine.

Most of my clients are B2B, and I only have their ads showing on search. Not enough money to be made in the Display Network there for the time I'd have to spend on it. If I were selling B2C, it'd be different.
