Was wondering if anyone else is seeing huge discrepancies between pageview stats on Adsense, DFP and Analytics?
I serve all my ads via DFP (most of it goes to Adsense), and I've also linked Adsense and Analytics accounts.
It seems that from the 8th/9th of February, Adsense stats started to become inflated compared to stats from the other sources, and it's only until the last 2 or 3 days that they've "come back down to normal" again.
For example, in Adsense, doing a week-to-week comparison of the 13th to the 6th of March saw a 20% drop in impressions across all sites under the same account. But the same comparison in DFP shows only a 1% drop. Similarly, in Analytics for one of the larger sites under the same account (can't easily do a comparison of all sites in Analytics), the Google Adsense pageview stats shown there only showed a 3% drop.
Does anyone know what could account for these discrepancies? Spam views/clicks that isn't being filtered on Adsense, but being filtered on DFP/Analytics? The difference between estimated earnings and finalized earnings for February is well within the norm though.
