Well, my February was all over the place, very similar to The Himalayas in profile!

Pardon?

30 divided by 90 = 33.33% or in old money 1/3rd

OR

one could say he earned 66.666% less

Hmmm...for the second time in a week for the UK I am seeing 0 clicks therefore 0% CTR.

For me Google's reporting credibility is rapidly sinking to zero as well...quite simply, I do not trust them any more whatsoever.

Seems to me that if someone earned $100.00, as in my question, and then earned 300% LESS the next time they would be in negative numbers.

300% of 100 = 300

100 - 300 = negative200

Why is that math not right?

Oh yeah we gotta stay on topic here....

My earnings are fine.

Yep ken_b

300% less from an average of 90 would equate to owing 180 to G!

For one of my channels, I'm up 2660% over the last 7 days as compared to the previous 7 days. Look for me in the Forbes 400 list, due to hit newstands in October.

I'm set to break some records here. Potentially the worst few days I have had since 2003.

If you think the above math is weird, how about this!?

Three guests check into a hotel room. The clerk says the bill is $30, so each guest pays $10. Later the clerk realizes the bill should only be $25. To rectify this, he gives the bellhop $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room, the bellhop realizes that he cannot divide the money equally. As the guests didn't know the total of the revised bill, the bellhop decides to just give each guest $1 and keep $2 for himself.

Now that each of the guests has been given $1 back, each has paid $9, bringing the total paid to $27. The bellhop has $2. If the guests originally handed over $30, what happened to the remaining $1?!

Yesterday turned out fine.

My blip must have been because of the link unit issues on the 1st March.

Late day click dump turned yesterday into an average earnings day.

February saw every day with above average earnings, which led to my best month ever. Unfortunately March isn't off to the same start, and the past two days I've only made average earnings. Can't really complain.
Today seems pretty slow. During the past couple of days, I'm getting the clicks but the payout is atrocious. Usually updates itself before the end of the day to something more modest, with the odd click dump thrown in as well.

And not 20 minutes after I wrote that I got both a click-dump and a 60% increase in CPC!

March seems average for me so far. Today is slow, but what else is new. I'll wait for tomorrow to see what is real for today.

The last seven days compared with the same period last year:

Views +60%

CTR -40%

In other words, an absolute waste of time.

The change in CTR compared to last year is because you can only click on title or URL. It used to be you could click anywhere on the ad. Facebook ads you can click anywhere and they are growing fast. What we need is Facebook ads for publishers and then maybe the big G will switch back to clicking anywhere on ads like Facebook.

I have a recollection that change came into being quite a few years back.

Click dumps seem to be the norm this month - I've no accurate reporting during the day at all. Yesterday looked like it was going to be a disaster, but when I awoke it ended up very good indeed.

Glad I'm not the only one Negmeg! Nothing but big pauses and dumps today too. It's hard to resist the urge not to check Adsense during the day, but at this rate, I'm better off checking it when I wake up in the morning, and not until.

Yeah, I know, my alias is sooooooo last year! Need to get with the times. :)

Time to hit the pub. Might as well drink some beer - at least that's a sensation of something moving! (unlike my click count which has been frozen solid all day).

March is so far better than feb for me. Feb was my lowest in 5 months. Been on a downward trend since all time high of December. But still all time high for the following months compared to previous years. But damn that December was so sweet.

If you allow image ads and use the "Awaiting Approval" option it pays to check that list in the morning and evening.

Otherwise who knows what can slip thru if you happen to let more than 24 hours get in between checks.

Well the beers in the pub didn't help the click count either and I have a hangover. Earnings closed under 10% of average.
