My October 2011 ended with earnings at 45% and Page Impressions at 91.4% v October 2010. I can't imagine what G will do to me later this month running up to Thanksgiving and Xmas!

Though it's early....
Seems to be starting off as bad as October ended. My site was hit by Panda and every time I show a few notches of recovery, a Wednesday Panda tweak smacks me back down.

Someone mentioned Adify. I think I might remove all adsense and go that route.

The problem with seasonal traffic is always... the morning after.

Yesterday was the lowest day in about three years. Woke up this morning to find a $25.00 slap on top of the already dismal earnings. Not off to a good start for November.

Looking good today but Nov and Dec are traditionally my worst months, so I expect things to start tanking soon.

Oct generated me 95% of what I generated in September.

My month would have been much better but I made a change which totally tanked me in alexa and how google saw my sites.

I let the change run for 6 weeks before changing the modifications back to what they were before the change.

If I want to compare Oct 1st directly to Nov 1st I'm already 66% higher for November.

And

If I want to compare the last day of the month of Sept versus Oct..

Last day of october was 743% higher than the Last day in Sept. yep 7X.

My worst month in 5 years. Adsense earnings down 60% - impressions down 50% - all after the Oct 14 minor Panda update.

Should this continue I expect this months earnings to be down 80% with a very similar loss in impressions.

The last couple of months I've seen nothing but ads for $100 in free Adwords. They sent me a card in the mail and I'm sure almost every publisher got one too. This would likely lead to a great influx of new ads, and those ads would be greatly devalued due to an increase in Adword accounts and inventory.

Is Google driving publishers to become Advertisers? It's a no win situation. My site is all content and I don't sell products so Adwords does nothing for me! I feel like Google is looking at me to see if I'm willing to start paying for traffic. That's a door I'm not going to open.

I love ya Google but like an unfaithful mate you've really let "us" down!

Why can't google add a "last updated "time"" on our report pages? Some like that can't be that hard to add

A couple of hundred dollars off last month's earnings, which brings my monthly increase streak (of 4 months in a row) to an end, but not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.
A good start to November, though no idea if it will last.

Nobody knows for sure, but I suspect that not every element always updates in sync. From my own experience over the years, I don't think the impressions necessarily update the same time as the clicks or the earnings or vice versa, and I'm pretty sure some clicks take longer to verify than others. Plus now they're doing this 'real time' adjusting for invalid clicks.

So that's probably why.

Reportings seem all messed up now. I at 200% of my usually earnings for this time of evening, which I'm sure can't be right unless Adsense is making up for poorer earnings towards the end of October.

My main site is roughly 20% down for Adsense earnings compared to October 2010. Page impressions are roughly 15% up.

Overall earnings for that site are up though, because of additional earnings from Vibrant media.

Minor sites are up 85% earnings wise in Adsense but that's set against an increase of 260% in page views.

It's an uphill battle.

After the 200% boost, they went down 30%, then shot up another 70%, so I'm getting some crazy reporting going on which I don't trust at all. Will wait until the morning to see what my earnings are.

hard numbers

Oct day to day to Nov percentage increase

Oct 1 versus Nov 1st 683% increase
Oct 2 versus Nov 2nd as of 3:24 pm 603% increase

I made a change late August which hosed me. 2 of my sites literally went from under 100,000 with Alexa to over 2 million. I made corrections 3rd week of October and saw results about 48 hours later.

I'm still seeing the wildly poor targeting that started in the last week of October. My CTR is dismal because of this.

September I got 36,000 clicks. Most money in adsense history. October I got 53,000 clicks. New most earnings in adsense history for me...but what the heck only made 8% more in earnings vs getting 45% more clicks.

Can someone explain to me what the heck happened here? How in the world can I deliver 45% more clicks but only earn 8%. That's like 15,000 difference in clicks man. 15,000!

At this stage, I'm wondering what they have banjaxed this time! Either the stats are completely lagged or they've broken something again. So far today, it is at an all-time low.

Main site woke up from Panda slumber on Oct 14 and I must admit, I've been doing good for the first time since February. Crossing my fingers.

Yesterday was my second best day with Google Adsense ever - no idea where that one came from. Last month I only had two days that stood out, but were still considerably less than yesterday's takings.

Very low click volume for me on the 2nd, more like a weekend when it's usually one of my two best days of the week.
