CPC running about half of normal today. The holidays used to be my golden goose. Not anymore. In the past seven years my internet income has gone from six figures to sub-minimum wage. Pandalized, sitemaps pending forever in Bing, Adsense roller coaster going subterranean. Glad I saved and live frugally.

My CTR was down a bit, so I took a look at my site and noticed a certain coupon site has returned to my site. I had already blocked them with .com and .co.uk
They are now using .com.au
If you've blocked these people, you may want to check again, or add .com.au to the list.
(Before anyone says anything... it has nothing to do with me previously going to the site, or googling anything about them, interest based etc etc).

I guess one of the problems in the forum is that we don't know each other's sites, nor can we reveal all our Google Adsense stats.
I rather see someone say I earn 3 digits for the day whereas I usually earn 4 digits. For some reason I usually type #*$! (x+x+x without the +), but it gets bleep out.
With 6 days to go I am earning 3x more in Nov 2011 vs 2010. All that hard working is paying off =D. I added 2600+ new content the last 11 months.

As expected my US earnings were way down yesterday but not in relative proportion:
The result was my third worst day of the month yet all other countries performed at or above average.
What's the betting on today being even worse?

I'm assuming the stats are stuck, my AdSense ones haven't moved in hours yet my own logs are showing, quite surprisingly, a seemingly normal day.

I am hoping my stats are stuck as well. I am at 1/10th of what I should be for this time of day. Traffic looks normal. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Anyone else seeing this?
8:29 pm on Nov 24, 2011 (gmt 0)
Yes, seems stuck. I hope.

About a month ago Google pulled all my Adsense ads due to TOS (content) violations. I unpublished 100+ pages, reapplied, and ads began reappearing early last Saturday morning. Although I lost a decent chunk of income, by the end of today I will have qualified for my monthly payment thus ensuring a happier Xmas for those I, er, Santa will be buying gifts for.
Today is shaping up to be another above-average day (turkey or not) and the deleted content isn't being missed at all. CTR and RPM are both at healthy levels. I'm happy with Google and I'm happy Google's happy with me :o)

Yucky Thursday, overall impressions at 82% however CTR only 62.5% resulting with earnings of 61%.
Obviously the US was way down with impressions at 49%, clicks at 26.5%, CTR at 53% and earnings at 25.5%.
Surprisingly not my worst day of the month thanks to Australia, Canada, UK and the UAE.

Disastrous Thursday and Friday so far looking even worse...
3:05 am on Nov 26, 2011 (gmt 0)
pelizden, ndaru, and tidewatcher... the CPM drop that I reported earlier in this thread started on 11/15 through 11/17 and began improving from there. It now seems to be back into a normal range. It was definitely one of the hardest three days drops I have experienced in three years of running adsense.
10:55 am on Nov 26, 2011 (gmt 0)
Friday 25th was my second highest day of the month with normal impressions but above average numbers across all metrics resulting in a 128% day. Fingers crossed it keeps this up until the end of the month.

Friday 25th was my second highest day of the month
Friday 25th was my worst day of the month. Sigh.
5:07 pm on Nov 26, 2011 (gmt 0)
Saturday looks catastrophic so far, almost no clicks...
11:55 am on Nov 27, 2011 (gmt 0)
Ha...From my second best day of the month to my second worst and that by just a penny/1.6 cents!
Impressions were in a normal Saturday range however clicks were way down at 62.5% and with my EPC at 80% the rest of my metrics look abysmal resulting with earnings at 49.7%.
I HATE holidays!

Last two days, I managed to creep over another hundred of a number. Looking to get over a hundred of a number every 6 months.
Novembers been good to me. *Knocks on wood*

Looks like I'm getting "run of the network" untargeted crap on my main site. WTF? I wondered why my CPC was down 80%... Man, it better rebound because I'm getting scared.
3:19 am on Nov 28, 2011 (gmt 0)
HuskyPup, exactly the same with my sites. I hate it when it goes way above the average one day, and tanked to the lowest the next day.
10:13 am on Nov 28, 2011 (gmt 0)
Boing ... Sunday was my new second best day of the month, I tell you, this month my graph now has more peaks and troughs than the Himalayas.
Will we get a "normal" day today?
4:19 pm on Nov 28, 2011 (gmt 0)
CTR at 33% of norm. CTR at 166% though. RCPM at 40%. Wow, I hope this is strictly seasonal...
5:00 pm on Nov 28, 2011 (gmt 0)
2 x CTR?
6:22 pm on Nov 28, 2011 (gmt 0)
@HuskyPup yeah the CTR is higher, but the CPC is a fraction of what it should be. My normal adds pay quite well per click, but there aren't huge number of clicks. The current ads are almost twice as popular but pay pennies instead of dollars. :*(

In Economic chart reading terms, my last month's "resistance" have become my "support" this month. This month has been great overall.
10:47 pm on Nov 28, 2011 (gmt 0)
In Economic chart reading terms, ...
How about translating that to ordinary terms for the rest of us. :)
Last months ceiling became this months floor?

Ken, I was thinking how the Google Adsense graph looks a lot like Forex/Stock charts. I used to trade, but haven't done so in over a year, and I think I just miss doing that.

Monday finally returning to normal earnings...

On the other hand Tuesday off to an awful start...

So far this month Adsense has been a disaster. Only 1 more day before the end of month and I am not even going to hit the adsense minimum payout - something that hasn't happened since the first month I joined years ago.
Well it's time for drastic action so i'm starting to remove google properties from my website. Google+ has gone, so too has Google Translate (replaced with Bing), bottom ad has been removed too. I have 3 other ads which will be monitored over the month of December. If there is no improvement then they too will be removed. Site was fine before Panda 2.5 now it is a disaster. What happened to the 'if it isn't broke, don't fix it?' Seems loads of folks were fine before Panda came to life. Now 'we' all suffer while google rake in the profits. At this rate it won't be loss of advertisers that Google will need to worry about, it will be loss of Publishers.

My month was average up until the Thanksgiving holiday. I'm hoping things will go back to normal in December. I'm quitting my day job in January to work on my own projects, so having a consistent revenue from Adsense (my biggest source of funds) is vital to keeping my anxiety level low.

If you are looking for "consistent revenue from Adsense" you are certainly a gambler. Adsense in my opinion is any but consistent these days.
