I just got an adsense survey emailed to me. Probably won't go through it, but was wondering if anyone else had a take on it? [edited by: incrediBILL at 9:52 pm (utc) on Oct 4, 2011] [edit reason] spliced threads together [/edit]

Maybe if all of us completed and complained the powers that be may sit up and take notice.

I completed it and complained - primarily about the suck service or in my last couple of instances, complete lack thereof service, no reply to the email whatsoever. Not to mention the fact our AdSense Advisor (ASA) tends to vaporize without a peep, no goodbye, just *POOF* and maybe someone new will mysteriously reappear sometime down the road. Customer facing is definitely not their strong suit unless you're making obscene amounts of AdSense money.

completed it, but i don't think they will take any concrete action. they need to speed up customer support. At the moment, they take around 4-6 weeks to reply.

Quality surveys from companies are interesting...both for what they query and how frequently they appear. One hopes the input moves forward...

| Does either one of you think your comments will change AdSense? Do you think Google is listening and actually cares what we think (pats on back are always heard btw)? My survey is done....

Completed it however far too few comment boxes, some totally pointless questions and as for having to rank in order five items ALL of which are useless to me, well...a typical jobsworth questionnaire which will achieve precisely zilch.

| +1, I complained too, specially about the parciality of the TOS, they punish some editors for tiny stuff closing their accounts, but in other WORSE scenarios just block the domain, then the editor buys a .net, .org, etc and continue to scrap content. You might be surprised what you find once you file a few DMCA.

I completed and complained, and also mentioned that they asked the wrong questions. As was explained to me several ASAs ago, it's pretty much a volunteer job, and a thankless and time consuming one at that. It's not like Google assigns someone to be here. I wouldn't want it myself (and of course would be spectacularly unsuited) So I'm not terribly surprised we don't have one anymore.

Well, I went back and decided to do it. Everytime I clicked the link it gave me an error. Pffft! What do they care anyhow? They're probably po'd that I've been using Bing exclusively for well over a year anyhow.

To everyone who wants to use the survey to complain, you can always stop using Adsense if it is so awful. No one is forcing you to implement it on your site. You can always try monetizing in other ways.

The whole idea of a survey is for Google to get a feel of how they are performing from their publishers. If they don't get 'complaints' nothing gets altered. It will probably go in one ear and out of the other but complaints are good. After receiving income of just £5 in 5 days you can bet that I filled it in and, yes, i damn well complained. We will see if any of the complaints alter anything, if they don't then, as I have already pointed out to Google in the survey 'I'm monetising my site via other methods and Google and I will part company!

Ember that's not the point. Some of us had specific issues that we tried to solve on the forums but our questions were not answered, in fact ignored or if we asked about a color the answer was about a blog! (no related at all). Just like a rep of the goverment answering in court. We are trying to get pass behind the machines, that's all. I was surprised about the trend of the stolen cheques threads I read. Complain !== Rant

Had a thought (since this popped up again) that the survey response was being run through the Panda algo... Wonder how that parsed out for Google?
