Awesome start to the first 3 hours of September... Long may it continue.
11:14 am on Sep 1, 2011 (gmt 0)
very bad last three days in terms of ctr, plenty impressions very few clicks
12:40 pm on Sep 1, 2011 (gmt 0)
Horrible september star I don't get it, seems like targeting is so way off.
12:43 pm on Sep 1, 2011 (gmt 0)
Horrible start for me too...both CTR and EPC way down, stats stuck?
12:52 pm on Sep 1, 2011 (gmt 0)
abysmal start to September, will try text ads only to see whether it will make some difference
2:22 pm on Sep 1, 2011 (gmt 0)
Last two days have been horrific. I've a fair number of sites (UK based) and yesterday was worst for several months and today is looking as bad.
8:33 pm on Sep 1, 2011 (gmt 0)
Last day of August was my best day ever, and though today is a long way behind that, it still looks like it's going to be an excellent day.
Having a big vegetable garden, and a variety of fruit and nut trees (I'm saving a fortune on food since I moved to the country), I reckon I could live off my Adsense earnings if I no longer wanted to supplement my income. It's a nice safety net to have, though I'd never want to rely on Adsense has my sole means of making a living - way too unpredictable.

what are you guys relating your answers to?
Comparing Sept 1st against Aug 1st? OR are you comparing Sept 1st to the average revenue generated over time?
1:37 am on Sep 2, 2011 (gmt 0)
Really bad start! One 16 cent click! WTF!
3:45 am on Sep 2, 2011 (gmt 0)
Stats stuck here for hours.
8:28 am on Sep 2, 2011 (gmt 0)
@brassneck I have several UK base sites that totaly lost income.
I really don't get it, I have 10 UK niche sites that average 100 to 300 impressions per sites per day with 0 clicks. That like a total of 2000 impressions with just 3 to 5 clicks.
12:15 pm on Sep 2, 2011 (gmt 0)
Something definitely looks wrong for my sites. Page Impressions are way out of kilter compared to my logs, Thursday was more like a weekend day with all metrics down and today so far I may as well switch AdSense off, 5 clicks and USD 1.00, pointless!
Come on, the hamsters must be back from their holidays.
2:04 pm on Sep 2, 2011 (gmt 0)
Dire start to the month after a promising August.
The solution? Just had ANOTHER email from Goog telling me to plaster more ads on each page.

Don't forget it is a holiday weekend in the US. The last chance for many Americans to hit the beach before summer is over.
My US city is like a ghosttown.
4:13 pm on Sep 2, 2011 (gmt 0)
Yet another US holiday ! :-)
No, I didn't know, how many more before Xmas? We have none in the UK, next stop 25th December.
And just checked, WooHoo...click dump!
4:19 pm on Sep 2, 2011 (gmt 0)
They've also got Thanksgiving in October or November.
And this weekend (first Monday in September) seems pretty serious business in the US. Parades and stuff. Not sure what for, but nobody's working. Noticed even my business is dead - I'm heading out for the afternoon as a result.
4:45 pm on Sep 2, 2011 (gmt 0)
Today is the second and my today's total already surpassed yesterdays. i'm in the states and monday is a holiday but people consider the whole weekend a holiday.
Don't seem to be affecting my stats.
Once again, what are you guys comparing... day to day against month to month or the current day against an average for the month?
4:57 pm on Sep 2, 2011 (gmt 0)
I love holidays. Holidays are good for me.
6:30 pm on Sep 2, 2011 (gmt 0)
Yet another lousy day.
7:55 am on Sep 3, 2011 (gmt 0)
95% of my revenue seems to come from clicks in the USA, though strangely I never seem to be affected by holidays, natural disasters, and the like. I've had a great start to September thus far, and my first few clicks of today, are paying great too. Historically I have noticed things do pick up a little more in the run up to Christmas, though my earnings tend not to fluctuate much due to seasons.
3:32 pm on Sep 3, 2011 (gmt 0)
Friday ended up ok thanks to someone having a furious clicking session on one part of one of my sites...I guess they couldn't find what they were looking for from a public supplier.
Once again, what are you guys comparing... day to day against month to month or the current day against an average for the month?
Yep...I do lots of easy comparisons, the current day v the month's average, quarter or even the year to date, sometimes against the same period last year or even going back to 2004 just to check whether it is, or is not, a seasonal thing.
Over the years my earnings have been mostly affected by Google's changes such as the click area or more recently Panda.

When I worked a 9 to 5 job years ago, before starting this website thing, I loved all of our U.S. holidays. Now that I have my own business, I don't like holidays! I have to work on them, anyway, and traffic usually drops on them (and the week of them). I want all U.S. citizens at their desks, at their computers all the time!
September is starting slower than August.
7:43 pm on Sep 3, 2011 (gmt 0)
Stats are dead!
8:12 pm on Sep 3, 2011 (gmt 0)
Stats not moving here either.
9:58 pm on Sep 4, 2011 (gmt 0)
Thursday and Firday in the typicall August range.
But Saturday a severe drop
Sunday compared to last Sunday
impressions same level
25% less clicks
6:15 am on Sep 5, 2011 (gmt 0)
earnings well below average, seems like no matter what I do I can't get CTR up :(
9:15 am on Sep 5, 2011 (gmt 0)
Have had an awesome week so far, and a great weekend.
Something really weird is going on this morning though. My click rate is about 400% beyond average for the time of day, which is a little concerning, and each of those clicks is valued at a mere $0.02. Don't know what's going on - hope somebody isn't messing about on my site.
9:18 am on Sep 5, 2011 (gmt 0)
Well I've just discovered a few dozen clicks all originating from India. That would explain the low pay out. Any way of telling if these clicks are coming from one individual or not?
10:49 pm on Sep 5, 2011 (gmt 0)
Saturday closed at 35%
Sunday closed at 40%
Today so far, 30%
AdSense September 2011 is already way behind September 2010. Not off to a good start at all.
