September 2011 AdSense Earnings & Observations

 9:40 am on Sep 1, 2011 (gmt 0)

August 2011 was better than I expected, is everyone ready to get back to work and do some serious clicking in September?

 4:10 am on Sep 28, 2011 (gmt 0)

Easily the worst day in a very long time. Earnings so far under 10%.

 9:36 am on Sep 28, 2011 (gmt 0)

First half of September was amazing, and the latter featured sprinklings of average days and good days. It will be the highest earning month for me ever, though I don't think it will smash May's record by much.

 10:10 am on Sep 28, 2011 (gmt 0)

Tuesday ended with the last 12 hours stuck.

 11:50 am on Sep 28, 2011 (gmt 0)

Tuesday was one of my better days of the month, a pity that so far earnings for September is 41.9% of the same period 2010.

EPC 93.5% v 2010 but CTR 59% ... thanks Panda.

 12:25 pm on Sep 28, 2011 (gmt 0)

> Tuesday ended with the last 12 hours stuck.

That's what it looked like here too.

 7:05 pm on Sep 28, 2011 (gmt 0)

I just have been able to check today but to my disappointment, tuesday has been a record low in an otherwise decent last few days.

 8:38 pm on Sep 28, 2011 (gmt 0)

I am convinced it is the Google Adwords ads bringing down my income. These are showing up all over my sites from health sites to home related.

Can I just block Google all together to stop this..? Had some record low days this month and these Google Adwords ads have to be the cause?

I am going into my sites with no cookies and change IP's so I know my visitors are getting the same ads..

I do not get why a they are putting adword ads on a site for pregnant women! joke.

 10:10 pm on Sep 28, 2011 (gmt 0)

My AdSense ads are becoming more unrelated each passing day.

 10:28 pm on Sep 28, 2011 (gmt 0)

So far, just another low earnings day in the making. :-(

 10:04 am on Sep 29, 2011 (gmt 0)

Horrible Wednesday EPC plus my UK earnings were easily the lowest day of the month with 19.6% of average!

What happened?

 12:17 pm on Sep 29, 2011 (gmt 0)

> What happened?

Sounds like my Tuesday HuskyPup, sorry to hear it.

 12:27 pm on Sep 29, 2011 (gmt 0)

Wednesday's traffic down 20% for no reason I know, VERY sluggish today... hope the Panda's not on the prowl.

 7:07 pm on Sep 29, 2011 (gmt 0)

Very good day today, and have already surpassed my highest ever earning month - going to be a very good September overall.

 7:16 pm on Sep 29, 2011 (gmt 0)

It's been a steady ride down to the bottom since the beginning of the month. I had high hopes for September, but it's going to come in at about 55% of what August (my record high) month was. :p Here's hoping things pick up in October!

I'm already planning alternatives to my dependence on Adsense. I might start A/B testing some alternate solutions, as well as I'm going to start selling some products I discontinued awhile ago.

"My you live in interesting times"

 7:26 pm on Sep 29, 2011 (gmt 0)

Seems stuck today for me.

 2:34 am on Sep 30, 2011 (gmt 0)

I thought my stats were stuck, but as the day comes to a close I'm thinking this is going to be the worst day for AdSense since 2006. Ugh.

After earning more than a million dollars from AdSense since 2004, I'm fortunate to have a job interview tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting off the Google rollercoaster.

In my greatest fantasy I'm sitting on the jury for Larry and Sergey in a Federal anti-trust suit. Any question how I'd vote?

 3:12 am on Sep 30, 2011 (gmt 0)

dataguy, you would vote the same way I'd vote. I'm sick of it all.

 3:38 am on Sep 30, 2011 (gmt 0)

Not as good as August, but then, is that a fair comparison? Looking back to September last year, its going to be approx. 90%. That's becoming a normal value since Panda.

Got to do something to build up an additional 10-20%.

 3:52 am on Sep 30, 2011 (gmt 0)

I've been down by 75% since April 11, 2011

 9:51 am on Sep 30, 2011 (gmt 0)

Yesterday earnings closed at 40% of average. September 2011 is going to be another low month. Depressing.

 1:09 pm on Sep 30, 2011 (gmt 0)

Thursday 29th ended with my second best day of the month at 130% of September's daily average and looking to be about 104.5% of August earnings.

Of coure the downside is that this will be about 44.6% v September 2010 with EPC at 93.4%:-(

 1:21 pm on Sep 30, 2011 (gmt 0)

I've found September's reporting of earnings wildly erratic. Prior to August I'd never seen a single adjustment to my earnings throughout the day, but over the past week, I've seen high figures reduced dramatically downwards which is odd. Earnings are still very good, but checking the reports more than once a day seems a waste of time.

 6:16 pm on Sep 30, 2011 (gmt 0)

Yea, EPC dropped pretty hard in the past couple days. Hoping that's just an end of month budget thing. Going to end up just about on par with last September, and at the beginning of the month I was almost three times up.

 10:41 pm on Sep 30, 2011 (gmt 0)

I also have seen multiple downward adjustments over the last 3 days.

 1:14 am on Oct 1, 2011 (gmt 0)

I wonder of any of those sites featured as " Adsense Success Stories " have experienced any significant downturns or complete ruination as some of us have.

 12:13 pm on Oct 1, 2011 (gmt 0)

Looks like my suspicions were correct: Google rolled out Panda 2.4 on September 28th. My stats have been down about 20-25% since then; very disappointing as the previous Panda update had given me a big boost. What goes up, must come down it seems. I'm not supposed to paste in URLs here so just Google "Panda 2.4" to bring up links to WebProNews and other sites.

 1:52 pm on Oct 1, 2011 (gmt 0)

September 29 and 30 were my lowest earnings days all the way around since 2004.

 3:07 pm on Oct 1, 2011 (gmt 0)

My Sept ended up 10% above last September. Not as well as I'd hoped, but as long as it's up, I can't complain too much.

 4:20 pm on Oct 1, 2011 (gmt 0)

I ended up 27% above September 2010. It was also my 4th straight all-time high.
