Come on G, shake things up a bit, you're becoming far too predictable!

Blooming heck...this is diabolical, I've had one click from the UK so far today, what on earth is happening?

Today is like a sick joke as far as stats are concerned and I keep hoping that all of a sudden something good will happen.

Today is looking good here. Earnings have been very stable. Even over the holiday weekend.

Yesterday was far from fantastic. Maybe it's the time of year, though last year my earnings were stable through every month and season. July really isn't shaping up to be great, but it could be a lot worse.

Yesterday closed again at 30%. On track for the lowest month in years.

Absolutely and utterly diabolical...my patience is now wearing very thin with this fiasco. On my busiest day of the month so far my CTR was 65% of post-Panda 2.1 with earnings scraping the barrel only beating last Saturday's lowest day of the year by $1.00!

How is it possible to go from $333+ a day to talking about $1.00?

For me G's credibility was already near breaking point, it'll not need much now for it to snap.

Same here, lowest day since I don't know when. Adsense seems to be dying...

I've got the same ads, same visitor numbers, same number of clicks, but it's simply paying out less. Not looking like a great day today.

Yesterday was the first day with average earning this month but today looks like will be another gloomy day.

Yea, after my huge traffic peaked and went back to normal, seeing the lowest EPCs ever on ad units - less then ten cents/click. Never dropped like that before. Hope it's temporary. Meanwhile, thank God for mobile.

Based on the U.S. jobs numbers released today, I think it's a good idea to keep working hard, pay down debt, save as much as you can and be thankful for whatever you can get via AdSense.

200,000 new jobs per month are needed just to keep the unemployment rate stable, yet only 18,000 new jobs were added in June. We're not immune from reality and this has to have an impact on business and thus advertising and thus AdSense.

Not great at all for me. However I feel slightly better that many others are in the same predicament. I'm sure we'll all be laughing about this a year from now.

netmeg, I saw the same thing. Traffic jumped up for a short time, eCPM dropped.

Then, traffic dropped, eCPM never came back.

I'm not the conspiratorial type but the whole thing over there at Mountainview is starting to smell a little "Scammy." A lot of things are just too coincidental and convenient for Google, at the expense of the independent Webmaster.

Seriously, it's just getting all a bit too "weird" and I haven't trusted them in a long time.

Stats in the toilet today. But in a new twist, Google ads seem to be loading erratically (sometimes just hanging in Firefox). The CJ ad on the busiest page loads quickly so there is something a bit strange.

Regards...jmcc

LOL The ONLY one of my stats that is moving is CTR, and it keeps going down. Everything else remains the same. How could that be? (rhetorical question only)

My bad day has come good and everything has shot up, so I'm now half expecting it to all shoot back down again in a couple of hours just as it did a couple of days ago.

They just started taking earnings away from me again. This is such a roller coaster.

Earnings have just shot up another 30% - so depressing, as I know they're going to take it away again! I've never had this problem until a couple of days ago... Maybe, just maybe, Google will let me keep the money!

I'm nearly at yesterday's earnings with half the click volume but still the same very low CTR!

I used to wonder when I read about sites with daily multi-million page impressions and extremely low CTRs, now I know how they must have felt.

I just cannot believe that 99+% of visitors do not click on specialist widget ads, are visitors so immune to ads now? And yes, I've tried different ad colours to no avail and changing my site layout just for Google ain't going to happen.

Targeting is way off and the 336 and 300 blocks are all messed up with design problems. That's how I'm rationalizing the crash in my stats. (I'll be hitting the pub in a few hours).

HP have you ever tried a heat map analytics program like Crazy Egg? You might give it a shot, just to see if THEY detect a ton of clicks on your ads; it's only like $9/month and no contract. (I use it, but have no other affiliation with them)

My guess is that you are getting a different set of visitors than you used to. A set less likely to click your ads. Seen any change in bounce rates, pages viewed, or time on site since this all began?

I've decided to experiment with ads that "clash", because of CTR being so low. It must be ad blindness for me, because all of my other stats are normal except less clicks from the U.S.

Does this fit into an overall strategy for long-term traffic growth, site usability, and user trust?
