I've seen something similar on Google maps (text combined with a small image) though I don't know if they're actually ads, maybe they're just enhanced listings: [google.com...] I agree that they do look good. Hopefully Google will eventually make ads like that available to publishers. They could place two or three combo ads in each large ad unit to overcome ad blindness.

wow the serp for Hotels is one big Made for Adsense page. Users don't get the best results for the search "Hotels" they list of results based on who's paying Google the most $$$. 3 ads above serp ( #1, #2, #3) 3 Organic Results (#4, #5, #6) 7 Places Ads (#7 to #14) 7 Search Result Below the fold (#16 - #23) Google News Promotion "full of more ads" Place Ad "Floating Image that follows" "full of ads" Side bar with 8 Ads 20 Ads "5 before any content" 10 search results LOL. Welcome to the future of search. Wait till it hits your niche "i'm in the travel niche" as the future goes along, a lot of thing that were No No "putting images near ad" is going to become acceptable as investor demand more revenue.

Image next to ads can increase CTR by 400%, I have tested it years before, Well if Google started showing image text ads on its SERP, Nothing will be more worse for us. Google want all the clicks on its search page because its 100% money to them or else they have to lose 68% in case someone clicks ads in partner sites. They already started targetting Travel, Gadgets, Computer, Mobile niche with lower CTR.

Rockyou, What's sad is the majority of publisher don't see it coming. i would love to see some data showing, over the years how many search result went from being directed to publisher to one of Googles on Content sites and direct SERP Ad?

| And it is against the TOS as you are well aware. | Well if Google started showing image text ads on its SERP, Nothing will be more worse for us. |
| For image search, it has been there a while... and even longer for normal SERP pages.

| Correct, and it was because people were trying to fool the visitor to think that the busty woman (or whatever) was related to the advert.

| To be a little more clearer on the normal SERPs page... there are images (not adsense adverts) but can - and do - take traffic away from you). As for adsense with images on the image serps... has been there for sometime. (at least 6 months).
