Adsense earnings April 2011
discuss the earnings trend this month

 11:33 am on Apr 1, 2011 (gmt 0)

I am having a blockbuster start to this month first day, I think its too early to make a call.

 6:04 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Hopefully its because of Easter and the changing to better weather.

 6:10 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

CTR is up, CPC is way down...again.

 6:14 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Honestly, I may as well switch off AdSense today, my CTR is almost non-existent...with the new Country Performance graphs I'll be able to email each clicker personally soon...well, that's if they leave me their address...now there's an idea:-)

I find it quite incredible how many people have got 11 days off work...I'm totally in the wrong job!

 6:25 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

New record CTR low for me Wednesday although EPC was fine.

I'm not even achieving traditional weekend earnings with such low click volumes. My biggest site for the last 6 days has averaged 70% in click terms, it has never, ever done this before except over the Xmas period, even New Year's Day was normal.

Same here! I'm usually here at the forum only when something significant happens... same traffic but a noticeable drop in earnings since April 12th, that's for sure.

 6:56 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

So not to be a total noob -- but is Panda over? Is this as bad as it gets? Or are there still under current SERP changes going on? Is the soup done yet? Is there any reason to be hopeful?

Pollyana (LOL)

 7:05 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

I think it's fair to say there are always "SERP changes going on." How disruptive they are to my site is another thing altogether. As far as Panda is concerned, I'm not seeing too much of a difference from before. Lost some ground for some terms, gained for others. Nothing like the shake-up Florida dealt that's for sure!

 9:38 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Just about even with yesterday's total and 9.5 hours left to go. Guess that's good.

 12:18 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

Hahaha...I may as well remove AdSense, I spent more on one round of beers last night and today wouldn't even pay for the worst coffee in the world!

Is that it until May?

 12:24 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

Anyone else had a slow day yesterday? Would the easter weekend have anything to do with it?

 12:49 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

If this continues, I'm going to have to start my own search engine. :)

 1:08 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

Woke up this morning to find out my site has been down for several hours due to a DDoS attack to the server hosting my account. Tough to make a buck when your site won't load :-|

 2:58 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

@Play_Bach, I don't think it will make a difference in AdSense earnings. With the site down, they should come out to about the same. :D

eCPM seems better today, but clicks are way down...or stats are stuck...or the moon is falling from the sky.

 3:28 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

It's a good job I have a sense of humour...so far today I have a CTR of 0.14%...definitely time for beer:-)

 3:45 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

definitely time for beer:-)

I'll buy you one, if you buy me one. ;)

 5:01 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

Tashi, I had a terrible day yesterday too, low traffic and low epc. Worst Thursday I seen in over a year. It must be because of Easter, I cant imagine it was all Panda.

 7:42 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

clicks haven't changed for 5+ hours, yet impressions climb. I see a server that needs a kick in the a$$!

 8:28 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

definitely time for beer:-)

Was thinking the same, but post-panda might be considered a luxury.

 11:13 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

definitely time for beer:-)

You guys can still afford beer?
I'm drinking water right out of the swamp out back!

 11:24 pm on Apr 22, 2011 (gmt 0)

Earnings stuck. Haven't moved in hours.

 12:04 am on Apr 23, 2011 (gmt 0)

All day and 5 clicks! At least the CPC is good. Why it can't be this way when clicks are normal, I'll never know.

No we can't, we just pi$$ in a mug.

 12:15 pm on Apr 23, 2011 (gmt 0)

The US Cavalry must have come to my rescue overnight since my EPC was simply appalling yesterday yet when I looked this morning it was about average therefore I mmust have had some extremely good EPCs at some point.

Page Impressions about -20% which can't be bad for a holiday considering the hot weather we're having in many parts of Europe however today's earnings are looking dire at the moment.

 12:24 pm on Apr 23, 2011 (gmt 0)

Well since Panda hit the UK my visitors have increased by around 25 percent. The only problem is my google income has dropped by 50 percent compared to last year, so i'm getting more visitors but less money:-(

Maybe i'm paranoid but i'm begining to think 'big brother is watching me.' Although Panda has had an effect, in my case, revenue from Google has been steadily dropping since the latter part of last year. Strangely, though, to compensate, I have been adding extra affiliates and a little private advertising. The weirtd part about all this is that the extra affiliate and private advertising revenue brings my total revenue slightly above what I use to get from Google but, within a few days, Google seems to adjust itself, by reducing revenue, until I am back to a lower total revenue that before I added the extra affiliates and private advertising. Loks like Google must sya, 'no matter what you do, you will never win.'

 3:40 pm on Apr 23, 2011 (gmt 0)

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear...my traffic's not that bad considering the holidays however my earnings are non-existant, that's not surprising with a 0.80% CTR so far...it's making Xmas Day look busy!

Good thing we've got superb music and beer on tonight and tomorrow:-)

 4:53 pm on Apr 23, 2011 (gmt 0)

Yesterday was another low earner. Ad targeting, at least the ads I see, is way off again. No surprise earnings have tanked, I wouldn't click on the ads either. They have nothing to do with my content.

 7:18 pm on Apr 23, 2011 (gmt 0)

WooHoo...I've beaten Xmas Day but not Xmas Eve or Boxing Day yet and I'm only half the way to New Year's Day...come on rain, make 'em all stay in!

 7:22 pm on Apr 23, 2011 (gmt 0)

Low page impressions here, today and yesterday.

 7:29 pm on Apr 23, 2011 (gmt 0)

Wow... I made more my first day on Adsense 6 years ago than I did yesterday I think...

 7:52 pm on Apr 23, 2011 (gmt 0)

Been having a pretty good month so far, but today's been rubbish. Good traffic, but poor CTR and CPC. Is probably just a blip though; has been a good month thus far.

 12:48 pm on Apr 24, 2011 (gmt 0)

Saturday was my third lowest earnings' day of the year after January 1st and 7th.

It equalled my lowest-ever CTR day and apart from Xmas Eve and Xmas Day 2010 my lowest-ever click volume however my EPC was good otherwise it was a complete disaster zone.

Actual earnings were 50% of 2011 average and today's looking even worse:-(

I hate holidays!

 1:40 pm on Apr 24, 2011 (gmt 0)

>I hate holidays!

Me too! Worst day in this year was yesterday

 3:24 pm on Apr 24, 2011 (gmt 0)

April has been a bust. Looking forward to May.
