 11:33 am on Apr 1, 2011 (gmt 0)

I am having a blockbuster start to this month first day, I think its too early to make a call.

@ HuskyPup, 6 is better then 2! BBQ sounds really good right about noe.

 9:51 pm on Apr 18, 2011 (gmt 0)

The hamster died.
Maybe it got stuck in the Panda's throat :)

So for the US we need the Heimlich Maneuver and the rest of us Heimlich Manoeuvre? :-)

March was my best month ever. April...not so much. It's comparable to Febuary's earning so far.

Ever since the 20th or so of march, I think I got smart priced. I managed to increase one of my ad units CTR 50% and then the ecmp went down hill after that.

Around that time, base on what read, earnings were going down across a ton of sites too.

I haven't been affected by Panda (yet?) because last Saturday, I had the most visitors and pageviews ever. 170,000+ in one day. Record for me, for one particular site.

But then again around that time, 20th of march, I gave adsense about a 60,000% increase in impressions. I guess I gave them remnant default traffic, and they didn't like it. Still testing. Just removed the default to them and sent it somewhere else to see what happens.

@HuskyPup Yep a BBQ for the hamsters sounds like a good idea. Don't forget to invite Bear Grylls. :)

Best AdSense day in nearly a month. Still down 20% from what used to be the daily average, but at least it's moving back in the right direction. Here's to hoping it continues!

On a roll today. Thanks Google! :-)

 7:12 pm on Apr 19, 2011 (gmt 0)

Ok, my first look for the day since stats seem to have been stuck so much recently it's simply not worth it.

Monday: Page Impressions normal however CTR belly flopped again, EPC fine but ended up below an average weekday.

Today: I have to assume whatever happened around the 12th April is dictating my new CTR level since only a couple of days have been at pre-April 12th average. Today's EPC is good but with such a CTR drop my earnings so far are below average.

I'm maintaining my monthly minimum however no matter what I do, no matter what I add, regardless of anything and everything earnings refuse to go up since CTR keeps on falling...it's a vicious circle.

 8:14 pm on Apr 19, 2011 (gmt 0)

Just beat yesterday's earnings with nearly ten hours still to go. Yay!

 11:43 pm on Apr 19, 2011 (gmt 0)

Hmmm...EPC still ok HOWEVER CTR is nearly at a standstill again...I just do not believe this $hite!

We're being publicly screwed by a behemoth and NO ONE can do a thing about it!

 2:00 am on Apr 20, 2011 (gmt 0)

Not sure why HuskyPup, but I'm enjoying the highest earnings day since Nov 2010. Meanwhile, the past few months have been way, way under. Hoping it stays like this awhile (lots of catching up to do)!

 9:49 am on Apr 20, 2011 (gmt 0)

Tuesday's EPC good, CTR -30% with earnings -20%, real world B&M booming!

 11:17 am on Apr 20, 2011 (gmt 0)

Looking forward to how today turns out. If it's anywhere close to yesterday's numbers, I'll be very pleased.

 8:14 pm on Apr 20, 2011 (gmt 0)

and back down it goes...
Stats are just a slow crawl today with earnings running at about 1/6th of yesterday. :-|

 11:58 pm on Apr 20, 2011 (gmt 0)

I'm flummoxed!

My main site's EPC is strong yet its CTR since Panda has collapsed...I've done nothing therefore it HA$ to be G$$GLE.

I feel it's time these "supposed" clever people got out into the real world and drank some real beer and found out that people have real lives that they screw-up every time they play experimental games.

I never believed I would get to the point of having to tell people not to use the Google...they're failing us and failing us all badly.

 1:30 am on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Traffic sucks today resulting in poor earnings. This is just frustrating anymore.

 2:11 am on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Three beers later...
Earnings have barely budged.

 3:01 am on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

I never believed I would get to the point of having to tell people not to use the Google...they're failing us and failing us all badly.

Ye$ I agree, they hold the money dial and when they need some extra $$ they just turn it to the desired number, who would know the difference except us publishers?

Time to change things up and bit and Adsense will not be involved.

 8:54 am on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

New record CTR low for me Wednesday although EPC was fine.

I'm not even achieving traditional weekend earnings with such low click volumes. My biggest site for the last 6 days has averaged 70% in click terms, it has never, ever done this before except over the Xmas period, even New Year's Day was normal.

With two consecutive 4 day holiday weekends approaching in the UK it's not how much crap shall I get, just the overwhelming depth of it.

 11:03 am on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Earnings closed at about 1/3. Hopefully today will be better.

 11:33 am on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Hamster's dead.

My issue is primarily black, white and furry though. Lost nearly half my traffic.

 11:41 am on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Bloody dire stats today. The impressions are moving, slowly, but the CTR is dead. Must be some more of their "targeting" algorithms. They took a perfectly good contextual advertising model and banjaxed it.

 11:49 am on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

> My issue is primarily black, white and furry though.

Pandalized? ;-)

 1:45 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Using the new AdSense Performance Reports and checking Countries, my UK CTR hit the wall on 14th April and is now averaging 50% prior to that date.

The USA and Canada have performed to their averages...I can now physically see where my drop in CTR perfomance has happened...thanks G, I'm no longer "blaming" you.

 1:59 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Pandalized? ;-)

I like that! My business has been pandalized. You've created a new verb, or rather Google has :-)

 2:22 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Thanks m0thman, but the credit for coining pandalized rightfully belongs to somebody else here on WW (I can't recall the post I saw it in, but I know it was over in the Google section). I thought it was a pretty clever play on words too!

 2:50 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

OH I feel totally "pandalized"! For sure! Bad panda! Must of been a BIG panda too. I feel like I've been sat on and crushed.

 3:15 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Just looked at my stats stats for yesterday Apr 20 and see what I believe was the poorest performing (M-F business day) revenue day I ever recall seeing in many years with Adsense. Anyone else see this?

Traffic was little changed but revenue was so weak I am thinking maybe it could it be an error? I am atually hoping it is an error.

 4:34 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

I have to agree with poor performance yesterday. Revenue is off 30 percent for this week compared to last month and off 20 percent from last week due to traffic and my epc has been falling this week. The ship is sinking!

Bad Panda!

 4:56 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Not sure if it is the Easter Holidays kicking in or just the Panda effect but stats to day are utterly borked. Was going to launch a new web directory next week but with the unpredicable flakiness of Adsense and that IBA stuff, I'll have to look at including other effective monetisation.

 6:04 pm on Apr 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

Hopefully its because of Easter and the changing to better weather.
