But friday does a balancing act
Yep, with 4.5 hours to go, looks like Friday's going to be a below-average day. However, I've noticed (for me at least) that these days happen because there are a number of big clicks waiting to be confirmed. They'll come through eventually and show up as an above average day. All works out at the end of the month.

Low earnings today, down to about 25% of average :-(
3:18 am on Mar 6, 2011 (gmt 0)
earnings back to my daily average, traffic is down as is normal for my weekends, CTR is up. Yesterday had traffic down from average, CTR down, overall dollars down below average.

Kinda low earnings for me on Saturday but the day is not over yet. Monday thru friday are back to November highs and is being steady this March so I cant complain yet. However, I did optimize ad space over the last 3 months and consolidated pages that were too spread out, so whether that is helping is hard to say.
Too many variables involved ( which includes googles' new search ) and delay on real time stats. So far I should break a record month, but for some reason I am not optimistic with all these changes happening at google.
Good Luck Everyone This Month!

saturday was the worst day this year. very low impressions, low ctr, low ecpm.
8:01 am on Mar 6, 2011 (gmt 0)
Saturday was one of my worst days this year too. Certainly the worst Saturday in a long time. Low traffic, low CTR. CPC was standard, but overall not a great day.
12:12 pm on Mar 6, 2011 (gmt 0)
I have no idea what G has done for me however the first 5 days of March has seen a return to pre-Thanksgiving levels with the most amazingly consistent set of metrics across the board of +/-5% of the 5 day average.
Now watch 'em bomb!

Historically, February and March are allways better for me..
4:59 pm on Mar 6, 2011 (gmt 0)
Yesterday was low in traffic, ctr and cpc... but the first five days of March have been good... back to normal pre-January earnings.
8:29 pm on Mar 6, 2011 (gmt 0)
Today is really bad and yesterday was just OK. Waiting for Monday.
12:50 pm on Mar 7, 2011 (gmt 0)
Yesterday was another 80% average day :-(
My traffic seems pretty normal but CTR is way down.
1:49 pm on Mar 7, 2011 (gmt 0)
Anyone else having really behind reporting today?
4:20 pm on Mar 7, 2011 (gmt 0)
Not here in the EU, having a good day for a change..

Anyone else having really behind reporting today?
My EPC, therefore eCPM, is literally half of the past 6 days, they're not sending me back to yuckyville again are they?
7:37 pm on Mar 7, 2011 (gmt 0)
I'm seeing a monster click dump today.
7:50 pm on Mar 7, 2011 (gmt 0)
I preay for a click dump! Today is just as bad as yesterday.
8:38 pm on Mar 7, 2011 (gmt 0)
If no click dump soon, this will be the worst day for a site with a lot of traffic in many years.
10:27 pm on Mar 7, 2011 (gmt 0)
In the same boat as honestman an JCKline.
11:38 pm on Mar 7, 2011 (gmt 0)
Traffic is at my above average highs. Pretty typical for my Mondays. But I could find more money on the ground than I've made so far today. It's bad.
12:14 am on Mar 8, 2011 (gmt 0)
Someone should go give the hamsters a nudge. They seem to have fallen asleep. Earnings seem to have frozen today - perhaps it is some US holiday that nobody has heard about?
1:45 am on Mar 8, 2011 (gmt 0)
Had a worst Sat and Sun of the last 6 months. Monday looks going to be the same. Click dump expected? No holidays or long weekends that I can think of.
11:38 am on Mar 8, 2011 (gmt 0)
First 12 hours reporting for Monday was 50% average EPC, second half was normal, if, if, if it had been similar all day it would have been good since, according to Google, I had my highest Page Impression day of the year so far!

Stuck. Stats haven't moved in hours.

Slurry pit slow today with users no doubt having to wade through behaviourally "targeted" adverts.
9:16 pm on Mar 8, 2011 (gmt 0)
Related to low CTR and low Clicks , I seem to know the reason.
I have 3 ad units on my pages and every time I see that almost all three ad units have the same ads displayed eighter text ads or image ads, and I wonder why we use 3 ad units when the ads are all the same?
That is an issue what G has to think about.
10:53 pm on Mar 8, 2011 (gmt 0)
Nick, I see that too sometimes and it is related to interest based advertising. Clearing cookies usually would do. I see the same ads on three units at the same time when I load pages, with obviously limited ad inventory, more than one time. I don't think your visitors will see the same unless they are return visitors.
11:22 pm on Mar 8, 2011 (gmt 0)
Worst week of the year so far.. 30% less of traffic, clicks and ecpm tanking.. all out of the blue at the beginning of March.
Don't know what to think sbout it, but something has happened since a lot of my long tail keywords seem to get me no traffic at all.
11:34 pm on Mar 8, 2011 (gmt 0)
zorogat, you probably lost some of the most valuable keywords search in that 30% traffic loss with the Google Panda update, along with typically high paying american traffic, hence the eCPM tanking more than 30%.
Anyway, I think it explains the gradual CTR fall I've experienced in the past months since november and the dramatic loss since the update.
So now, instead of looking at Adsense, I'm working more toward Google search fixes.
PS: yeah today's stats are terrible.

Cien, maybe you are right, but
Clearing cookies usually would do
I don't think that many users clear their coockies.
I don't think your visitors will see the same unless they are return visitors
80% of my visitors are repeat or return visitors.

I don't think that many users clear their coockies.
No they don't clear their cookies, but if the users are new visitors to that specific page where you saw the ads repeated on, the users most likely won't see the same repeated ads across all units you've seen as Google hasn't cookied those users yet. They'll probably see different ads too due to IBA.
I said to clear your cookies for you to see new ads. It appears you have visited that specific page more than once. "Clearing cookies" is the same as "new visitor to that specific page" in this case. Try using a proxy to see if you see the same ads.
