AdSense Reporting Delay January 2011

 6:36 pm on Jan 2, 2011 (gmt 0)

My adsense is still bad, no good change so far.

Do you think everything will be back normal in next weeks or months?

Hope we will rename this post title as "thanks adsense" in following weeks in a month.

 7:28 pm on Jan 2, 2011 (gmt 0)

Too early to tell yet. The year started super great for me. A little bit of traffic recovered, high CTR and eCPM but today... today is in the dumps. Monday the majority of advertisers get back to work so hopefully everything improves.

 9:10 pm on Jan 2, 2011 (gmt 0)

Yes, I hope that tomorrow things get back to normal...today so far is the most dismal Adsense day I have had in 5 years...I can always hope it is just a delay in reporting...

 9:14 pm on Jan 2, 2011 (gmt 0)

Maybe we should just assume their will ALWAYS be reporting delays and "let sleeping dogs lie".

These threads are the only activity in many of these subforums. We need them! :-)

 9:55 am on Jan 3, 2011 (gmt 0)

Indeed we do, I like these threads :)

We could always rename them to a less specific "AdSense Discussion [Month]" if needed.

For me Jan 1st and 2nd were better than anticipated but with EPC still very low in comparison however, unusually, Page Impressions do not marry with my logs therefore I wonder whether I have a lack of ad inventory in some countries.

In the UK I seem to be ok but when using the Google Global extension in Firefox the US especially seems to lack ads however I'm not too sure just how accurate that is.

I think today's a holiday in many countries, surely we should see a bit of a bounce?

 8:08 pm on Jan 3, 2011 (gmt 0)

Jan 1 and Jan 2 were very good, an improvement over a dismal December, so I was expecting the trend to continue. Instead, of course, today is the worst day in months. I think it should bounce back soon.

 8:34 pm on Jan 3, 2011 (gmt 0)

For me in entertainment section, since 1. jan. I have had the highest impressions ever, but lowest CTR,CPC and eCPM:-((
Today the same so far.

I've been reading this forum since 2006 and actually just registered now, as I really wanted to reply to this thread. I have been following the Adsense Reporting delays and decrease in ecpm threads daily.

I've been focusing on better Ad placement and best color combination for CTR and ecpm on my blog as I did not want to accept these changes in earnings. Ever since November it has been a roller coaster.

During November I experienced a drop in my average ecpm, ever since then it bounces from day to day.

I know fluctuation is normal, but there where such bad days with ecpm below $1 that made me think to take Adsense off all togther.

Then comes a day, when I think, YES..now you got it right.. Nice CTR and ecpm. But what do you think happens the next day? I will have one of the worst days ever.

I tried the channel reset that I had from a thread here somewhere, I turned off Google Certified Ad Networks which seemed to help for a couple of days.

Everytime when I seem to have improved my Ads and things go well, the following day I get smacked on my forehead by Google: "Duhhhhh"
That's what you thought, here is your sucky ecpm for the day.

Yesterday was the worst day since I started this blog.

So I don't know what is going on, but this needs to change.

Slow, Low, few of everything. Someone please hand me a gun.

 9:52 pm on Jan 3, 2011 (gmt 0)

I am seeing unprecedented lows today. In five years as a publisher, I have never seen performance as low as this before.

 12:58 am on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

I kinda consider today the first day of the year that counts, as it's the first day most working folks are back on the job, browsing away....There doesn't seem to be a reporting delay, but it's an average to slow day traffic wise. Which could be people catching up with work/ chatting with coworkers about their holidays, or a post-Christmas algorithm change, fate catching up to me, or just bum luck.

Oddly, CPM earnings for me reached a minor crescendo in December, over the holidays gradually working up to five to six times their normal level...now they're back to normal levels. At least in my niches, it seems that:

1) more advertisers were using CPM bids this year
2) some advertisers end their fiscal year in December (didn't seem to be as dramatic as the fall fiscal end last year).

 1:32 am on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

Impressions have been moving slowly all day, clicks have barely budged. :-|

 2:04 am on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

I've had a torrid time since 15/16th Dec yet today has already exceeded those earnings, CTR back to normal, EPC back to low average, normal log referrals, really don't know what else to write other than was it "the weather" etc?

 5:59 am on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

Back on track today Monday. Placement has helped a lot today. Almost record breaking day. 2 more hours to go.

 8:46 am on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

I recently met with a change of income in a short time when residents. Now with the missing Mon Wed and potentially lower ever.

 11:56 am on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

Here we go...stats well and truly stuck on the first full day back at work for many!

And I mean everything stuck.

 4:05 pm on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

a bad start for the new year.

 4:29 pm on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

Nice click dump but an awful EPC average so far today compared to pre mid-December at 60% of low stavafluc!

Come on AdWorders, get busy bidding:-)

 6:31 pm on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

Good traffic and CTR, but very bad EPC thus far today.

 7:05 pm on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

almost normal traffic, 0(zero) click so far today ( 0%ctr )

 8:29 pm on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

Rock bottom epc today after an awesome day yesterday. I think the advertisers are only selling pajama jeans, Snuggies and flowers now. :-) What's your excuse...

 8:43 pm on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

maybe this was caused by Solar eclipse :)
or any other undefined power
zero ctr means zero revenue and this realy make me thinking other alternative ways of income.

 8:59 pm on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

eniac How many impressions is that for zero CTR?

Sounds like 2014 is upon us.

 9:42 pm on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

504 impressions so far with still zero click

 10:00 pm on Jan 4, 2011 (gmt 0)

I'm having a great start to the New Year. The link work I did the last two months of last year is starting to pay off. Traffic during the 2 weeks before Christmas and up to New Years day was horrible, so this is really welcome and sought after.

 12:46 am on Jan 5, 2011 (gmt 0)

Traffic has been building up for the last 3 days, but earnins are in free fall. I'd really love to hear an explanation from a G pro on this matter. I'd love to sit and chat over a beer and just listen to the arguments. I bet i would learn a lot of fun and interestings things about statistics and math and all sorts of things....

 1:27 am on Jan 5, 2011 (gmt 0)

My January is still bad - all 4 days way below average - this after an a great November and December. My January page impressions are great...but CTR is the lowest I've ever seen. I guess my webpage content has just suddenly become so compelling-people don't want to leave. HAHA :)

 1:32 am on Jan 5, 2011 (gmt 0)

I bet i would learn a lot of fun and interestings things about statistics and math and all sorts of things....

Like they haven't a clue what they're doing and what's going on? :-))

Traffic and CTR has returned to normal, EPC is totally in the crapper...this is not funny any more, next week I'll be coming up to my worst-ever monthsworth of AdSense earnings since it was launched.

Another week of this and AdSense will definitely be sidelined on my sites.
