AdSense Reporting Delay January 2011

 6:36 pm on Jan 2, 2011 (gmt 0)

My adsense is still bad, no good change so far.

Do you think everything will be back normal in next weeks or months?

Hope we will rename this post title as "thanks adsense" in following weeks in a month.

 12:16 pm on Jan 10, 2011 (gmt 0)

Google situation normal...totally stuck, I've had possibly the first hour and that's it!

 12:24 pm on Jan 10, 2011 (gmt 0)

@HuskyPup: Me too. The first hour was "almost" normal. After that it nose dived to the 0,X reign...

 2:05 pm on Jan 10, 2011 (gmt 0)

i agree mith you HuskyPup

Last hours = 8 clicks for 0.11 it's crazy

still bad since december ~20

 4:21 pm on Jan 10, 2011 (gmt 0)

For 2-3 hours it is really good or normal.
I do not know how long it will continue like that.

 5:24 pm on Jan 10, 2011 (gmt 0)

Oh dear, stats still not caught up meanwhile all AdSense metrics are going downhill rapidly for me...no bounce yet and I don't feel there is going to be one, welcome to the new MadSense, and Google won't be able to tell us what has been happening since they obviously haven't a freakin' clue themselves other than they'll have another record breaking quarter and all the Google shareholding fanboys will be wetting themselves with delight.

 7:00 pm on Jan 10, 2011 (gmt 0)

Again, it's good to know I'm not the only one!

 9:46 pm on Jan 10, 2011 (gmt 0)

Page Impressions increasing, clicks have been stuck for hours...crazy.

 10:20 pm on Jan 10, 2011 (gmt 0)

Page Impressions increasing, clicks have been stuck for hours

Page impressions increasing here also. In my situation, I wouldn't say clicks are "stuck" as that to me implies a temporary situation.

I'll just say:
Page Impressions increasing, clicks still at an all time low.

 11:15 pm on Jan 10, 2011 (gmt 0)

Stats recovered just now from a 3 or so hours delay. And the roller coaster continues! Yesterday high CTR with low EPC with the same December traffic. Turned out a very crappy day. Today, CTR extremely low, low traffic, super high EPC! It's 3:11 pm and it is a record breaking day already! Weird.

 1:28 am on Jan 11, 2011 (gmt 0)

is it still good? or delay again?

 1:43 am on Jan 11, 2011 (gmt 0)

Cien, is it still good? or delay again?

No, no more delays. It's been fine so far.

 2:24 am on Jan 11, 2011 (gmt 0)

Another day in the low.

 6:04 am on Jan 11, 2011 (gmt 0)

Better than some days. The problem is that the traffic that disappeared in the latter part of December has not returned yet.

 9:02 pm on Jan 11, 2011 (gmt 0)

I am seeing that the stats have not moved for a couple of hours.

 6:09 pm on Jan 18, 2011 (gmt 0)

Just to add my insight on this with you guys.

Me and my friend used to touch on daily basis $800-$1000. All of the sites received natural traffic and ranking across various terms.

About start of Jan/something 2nd week we saw significant loss in earnings. I am talking about my own account here, from average $900/day I am not hardly reaching $400.

I have not lost rankings/traffic or anything. I did not even touch any of the sites. The impressions are same.

However it seems the CTR/CPC has dropped significantly. I have no idea what is going on. At first, I thought may be it is just a few day issue as it always happens, but now I am on 2nd week ride with this type of earning.

Really, can someone from Google Adsense team share some update with us as to what is going on?

My traffic is 100% natural and it has been like that for past 7 years and my earning has been stable and on constant growth as I acquired new sites. But past few weeks I am earning at max $400 a day. Can't believe $500/day drop in my earnings.

I am not in any seasonal type stuff. I don't think I am smart priced, because same situation is currently happening to my friend.

He used to touch daily $550+ (weekends were in low $300's) now he barely gets $200 a day.

Would appreciate some insight.

@ErnestHemingway: There are a lot, really a lot of threads like this on different forums on the web. Nobody knows. I, too, think not to have been smart priced, even though this thought has "stroked" my mind.
Google doesn't exaplin anything. Not even on Google Adsense forum where their "expert" members only give shallow explanations. The only thing we can do is wait and share our findings.
However, the official thread about this ...ehm...situation is here: [webmasterworld.com...]

 6:32 pm on Jan 18, 2011 (gmt 0)

@Frank, thanks for feedback. Lets hope something good happens.

 10:01 pm on Jan 18, 2011 (gmt 0)

Looks like EPC took a 20% jump UP for me so far today.
Anyone else seeing a slow improvement?
Crawled a smaller bit up yesterday too.

But im in the "how can google explain this boat". Its statistically hard to believe that advertisers across the board, all at once, dropped their bids like crazy and caused a 40 to 60% drop in EPC, especially for large far reaching sites.

 10:15 pm on Jan 18, 2011 (gmt 0)

Stats stuck for more than two hours today. Earnings are horrible with same december traffic. Adsense Advisor are you reading? What's happening?

For those of your lurking and suffering with Adsense, now is the time to jump in and say hi.

Stats look normal to me.

 10:45 pm on Jan 18, 2011 (gmt 0)

@ErnestHemingway: I'm in the same situation, but for me it started somewhere in December. I've never seen this before, my earnings have been stable for years...

It would be good if the new ASA would be so nice to explain some... I doesn't seem that's going to be happening soon though.

 1:28 am on Jan 19, 2011 (gmt 0)

@Tashi, December is usually down for me and it has been like that for years. However, January I always picked up and did good. I sense some activity going on behind Adsense.

It all happened after their recent update which was last Saturday about 2-3 days ago.

 5:30 am on Jan 19, 2011 (gmt 0)

Imps and CTR are up, EPC on life support most of the month. Another thing, I block google and groupon in the competitive filter and CTR goes down significantly. Are people only clicking on giant groupon burgers and Nexus ads or Google is punishing me for blocking them? What the heck is going on. That Groupon burger sure looks delicious though..

 12:47 pm on Jan 19, 2011 (gmt 0)

ErnestHemingway wait for atleast 14 days, avg ecpm is all that matter. Google is experimenting with adwords & adsense heavily. May be bing fear is real.

 2:34 pm on Jan 19, 2011 (gmt 0)

avg ecpm is all that matter

Well, unless you are getting within +/-10% the same volume of visitors every day then eCPM is only a comparative measure, the real average that matters is average EPC (Earning Per Click) and the actual overall daily earnings.

 3:46 pm on Jan 19, 2011 (gmt 0)

And back down it goes. :-(

 4:35 pm on Jan 19, 2011 (gmt 0)

@Cien I did block groupon across my network and many other such type of advertisers, as it just doesn't match my site content. And they are spamming across the board on every site.

@RockYou --> Wait is all I can do, Google Adsense team haven't said a word so far.

@Husky --> EPC has gone down as well.

 4:56 pm on Jan 19, 2011 (gmt 0)

well even i have blocked google.com, Its nothing related to that.

 4:44 pm on Jan 20, 2011 (gmt 0)

Anyone else seeing a big delay in earnings today?

 4:57 pm on Jan 20, 2011 (gmt 0)

delaying is not enough to describe today report.
it is dead or crashed maybe.

Senior Adsense Advisor, are you still there? or are you crashed too?
