Channel Targetting
What if no one bids for this ad placement?

I am just a little bit confuse about this. We make a channel to be targetted so that advertisers will be able to bid on that ad placement right? What if no one bids, will the ad block display normal ads?

I made some of my channels targetted. I just noticed that there were times that no ads except 'Google Chrome' is visible on that targetted ad block. Does it mean no one is bidding?

Bids on placement targeting are included in the normal ad auction and compete with all other advertisers to be shown on your ad unit.

If no bids are placed for placement targeting the ad unit is served with normal adsense ads.

You can check your "Coverage" value for that specific ad unit to see how much google is able to serve relevant ads on this ad unit.
