I wonder how did that question pop up in your head.
We are paid monthly.
i have no idea how this becomes its own thread and then with a wrong topic title?
in message #:#:4217163 from the adsense lag thread mshuggys talks about blue collar and white collar getting paid different day of the week, so it appears to me that americans get paid their salary weekly, unlike any other country i worked so far(europe and south africa) that was my question..
Out in the real world it varies. I've had jobs that paid once per month, twice a month, every other Thursday, every other Friday and one that paid every Friday. It's pretty much up to the employer how it's done, mostly a matter of what is convenient for the employer. My current real life job pays every other Friday. And, by the way, it has had nothing to do with blue, white or any color collar in my experience. I've been in IT for over 37 years.
Icedowl has pretty well covered it.
But yes, many people in the USA get paid every week.
I get paid every day.
It takes a month to actually collect though.
American and friggin' proud of it.

As a rule of thumb, blue collar / hourly / Union workers are paid weekly, while white collar / salaried workers are paid less frequently. It's pretty common to be paid once every two weeks.
I was solicited by email a couple of days ago by an ad network that paid weekly, I guess they think it's a big selling point. I don't remember the name now (and I can't seem to track it down in the History) but I did go to their site and I couldn't tell if it was a Commission Junction-type or Adsense-type program. I didn't care enough to dig deeper into their site to find out.

Your post was in an adsense forum, in a discussion about a lag in reporting stats. It's important to keep on topic of the disucssion. That's why your thread was split, to keep the other thread from dying of topic drift. ;)
I had a really good day yesterday, lotsa clickeridoodas...
And it got me wondering... maybe yesterday (a friday) was payday for many people, so they were in more of a buying mood.
