I would qualify that slightly. More unique visitors should make you more money in proportion to the increased traffic. More repeat visitors are unlikely to increase clicks at anything like the same rate.

Not necessarily. Many here get thousand percent more traffic than I get but earn only a fraction of what I do
It's the type of audience. Get the right type, and even with only 10,000 uniques a day, you can make huge income from Adsense
It's the responsiveness of audience to ads, and how they view ads. If they see it as additional resource, then they are likely to click on it. If they see it as a nuisance, then you can have millions of impressions and still earn less than a thousand a month
Find a topic that will attract responsive audiences. Then you can make really, really good money from Adsense
It's not the quantity; it's the quality of the audience

Northweb, you are doing pretty good for just 3K daily visitors. While nothing is linear, I am confident that if you work to grow the range of topics and get more traffic, you will see higher revenue.

From your stats, every page you write will get you another 10cents a day. That is about $2000 over a lifetime. Get writing and think of those $2000 dollar checks going into your wallet.
