I'm experiencing a decline in traffic, but I also seem to be experiencing a decline in quality traffic too.
I've seen a significant drop in both CTR/eCPM.
Old CTR was around 5-7%, this is now more like 3%-3.5%
Stats for the month end were good for me (traffic and earnings).
I would imagine a lot depends on what niche your sites are in. Since I have developed websites on different topics I have found my stats tend to be way more consistant.
July will be better (i hope)
yup June (30th) ended with a wimper.. 25% of daily average.
Hopefully, July will be better.
Yes, actually the last week or so was awful. I pray that July is a better month.
I hoped June 30th would be much better, 2 days no soccer WM
But CTR was very bad at this day
Same here, the 30th was the worst day of the month
One account I look after made 20 pence for the 30th. Worse day ever for that account. :/
CTR yesterday was way down here, too (and in consequence eCPM), although my click tracker tells a different story (looks like a perfectly normal day according to him).
Yesterday was the last day of Q II and the last chance for Google to make some extra bucks...
(duck and run)
Below monthly average CTR and slightly below Ecpm average with above overall traffic average for the month which resulted in a very average day for the month.
The 30th was strikingly bad, especially in contrast to the previous week.
Yesterday was the best day I have had since I started with AdSense. Sorry if I hogged all the earnings. I'll be done by the 5th.
Sorry if I hogged all the earnings.
Don't be sorry. The other account did extremely well.
June was my best month ever. The 29th was my best day ever. Earnings.
I'm expecting things to tank over the next few days for the US holiday weekend.
So I am guessing its nothing more than the ups & downs of earnings? My are up and down like a Yo-Yo so my "average" has a wide margin.
What I do is use the low points to give me more motivation to create more content, change old content, work on ad placement, test out different types of affiliates and lastly try and work on more ways to get good links to increase rankings. However always need to remember more traffic does not mean better traffic - so its almost all in the keyword targeting which I think changes what you get paid from Adsense & Affiliates...
[added]^^ Talking about SERPs not paid traffic or that.[/added]
Fun and games with the best day/worst day deal....
(or, best and worst can mean very dfferent things to different people!)
1: "Wouldn't pay for the senior coffee" at McD's, or
2: "Had to fly first class commercial because AdSense income wouldn't cover the cost of filling the tanks on the private jet."
1: "Can finally afford the senior coffee at McD's, or
2: "AdSense income filled the tanks on the private jet and left plenty for brunch across the pond!"
(the private jet stuff is all fiction, but you get the idea, right? :) )
Fridays are my new Saturdays, and Tuesdays are my new Mondays.
Fridays are my new Saturdays
How strange...me too!
And Thursdays are my new Fridays.
How funny.. the best earning day for June happened on June 30th.
BUT there was a equal increase in traffic - 10% up than regular days. I hope everyone will enjoy the July month. Wanting to score my highest income this time after all the investments I've done in June.
Wish y'all and myself a better and bigger July month.
Anyone else finish June with a whimper?
Sorry Husky... went out with a BANG! Third best earnings in June which turned out to be just a slightly lower than average month.
But man... July is looking like it's going to suck like lemons if today is anything to go by.
Fridays are my new Saturdays
I've seen a definite shift in June stats, almost as if the stats are now delayed 24 hours.
Prior to June, Saturdays and Sundays were always the highest earning days of the week. For the last month Sundays and Mondays have been best.
Anybody else notice something similar?
Yea, I was doing great for several weeks. Every day over a 1.00 CPM from Adsense. This week it has been falling down quite a bit. Yesterday, it was at $0.39 and today, $0.17.
Same as you, exactly. June was a record bang up month until the 30th. Very odd, for I usually expect that when the last day is a 31st.
I am suspecting its the mess going on with serps --a traffic issue-- as opposed to a cpm or epc drop.
Last week of June was well under the average. July is starting off likewise, the trend is not looking very good at all.
Very average here too. Feel like shutting everything off until advertiser demand picks up again.
Wow! the message panel has changed, or is it me?
I don't see anything different. I'm using the old interface.
June 30th was end of quarter and end of year for most business. I wouldnt be suprised with the way the economy is going to see a drop in ad spend.
I am seeing the older and perhaps a newer version of the login page.
