I'm down about 35%. It sucks bigtime. You realise how helpless you are in these situations and what a monopoly Google has.

The only monopoly Google has is a monopoly on *easy* advertising revenue. There are plenty of other monetization options out there. But they don't come to you, you have to go out and find them, and work to make them work.

@panicbutton I'm starting to think if I should press it this month. Not only with Adsense, I See the same downward trend with other Ad networks too. March was my best month ever, and it looks like I'll hardly reach half of that figure this April.

Adsense seems dead today. Someone had better kick them to see if they are still breathing. Regards...jmcc

CTR through the floor this month - there won't be much point in keeping adsense on my site if this continues.

Just woke up on a nice sunny day. So can't tell if the figures have stuck up or not but the eCPM is at $3.4 which is ridiculously low for Adsense, for me at least. It's a National holiday today (14 Apr), more miseries to follow :(

| Let us hope the swans stay away for a long time to come.

You cannot compare a Black Swan Event to a drop in adsense income. PITA, maybe. Frustrating or annoying, yes. But you cannot compare something like WW1 with a 50% drop in income.

My channel count and click count for yesterday don't add up like they usually do, off by over 50%. Earnings were the lowest I've seen in years too.

Seeing a big drop here in March - and also seeing general ads, instead of site specific ones (ie, banking news site now showing USB ads - #*$!?). My account settings do not allow historical search ads and now disallowed third-party ads. No idea what's happening, but something looks Fubar.

I'm seeing the same thing. Came here to just see if it was me or if others were having the same issue. To those who this happened to last year, Did you recover after April? This is very concerning

| Just looked... 5 months to fully recover to pre-april levels. Three of those months could be seasonal.

I have just compared 1st Feb to 14th March 2010 v 15th March to 13th April 2010. Page impressions are virtually identical 0.20% difference However when it comes to CTR in the past month I have only had 4 days that matched/surpassed 1st Feb to 14th March and only 6 days when eCPM did the same. Try telling me nothing happened OVERNIGHT in the middle of March!

| You should read my post from December and March sad to say the least, seems that this Caffeine update might be increasing my traffic thus increasing revenue. It could all change tomorrow, but still going strong today.. Adsense is such an roller coaster, it is either good or not. I just love it when it gets good one month then tanks the next.

Instead of bemoaning our drop in revenue... lets put our heads together and work on the problem... like my father would say... 'when things get bad think smarter' Like most of the posts here I too have seen my revenue drop by 50%... althought my traffic continues to grow. So, for those that have posted that there revenue is stable why not offer your expertise on how you are achieving this... EG: how many ads per page? what size ads do you use? placement of ads (above the fold - left or right)? what colors are you using (blending or not blending)? and any other information that may assist in overcoming this recent poor performance, thanks

Thats not a bad idea ElvisFan, the problem for us is that our rep has said we are maximum optimized. That they see no smartpricing issues and that our inventory metrics look fantastic for advertisers. So if our revenue keeps getting halved overnight several times in 3 years and our rep said in the past we are not getting smartpriced it's pretty clear whats happening and they know it. I suggest you save yourself a great deal of grief and look at growing other revenue models.
