Are other people seeing the dating ads?
Well my wife is! Or rather she's seeing the typical dating type titles (Thai women, thai wife etc) as well, but as mentioned, the actual ads are not dating related.
This can be a real nuisance with asia/women/etc-related pages.
Check google webmasters tools for the list of keywords google relates to your site (and not just the top 10 keywords, dig deeper). Try to cut down the number of words like: Women, girls, ladies, dating, date, wife... Especially if they rank well in the keyword list.
I was surprised when I noticed that google webmasters tools ranked word "women" high in one of my sites, which has absolutely nothing to do with women -- what can you do, it's a common word, and can outnumber some of your less-used real keywords without you even noticing it.
Go to google and search for all the combinations of girls/women/ladies/etc and dating/wife/etc -- collect all the ad urls and block them.
Does your travel site mention Table Tennis or Table Tennis Balls perchance ?
Yes, in all my Thailand section.

I've caught a few on my site last month. One of them could be considered as the biggest dating site out there. The others were based on dating for a specific religion/culture belonging to a large web firm who have a ring of these sites.
Surely there can't be that many you can see? With Geo-targetting it will be impossible to catch them all, just add all those that you do see to your competitive filter and block them that way. Give it time and eventually GAS will get the idea.
BTW - how did you "opt out of dating"?
@VisitThailand I can't block them as the actual ads don't have anything to do with Thai women/dating.
I'm talking about link units -- so on the adblock on my site the link units might read something like: "Thai women | Thai wife | Thai friendships etc" but when you click through, the actual ads displayed are for more typical Thai tourism stuff (hotels/tours etc) so there is no advertiser to block.
I opted out of dating (and Get Rich Quick, Politics, Sexually Suggestive, Video Games (Casual & Online) in Adsense Setup -> Ad Review Centre -> Category Filters.
SM - what I mean is just add the url of wherever the ads point to to the competitive ad filter. Surely there can't be too many that are using misleading ads like that. Also perhaps complain to GAS as such misleading tactics are in nobodies best interest.
