March 3 has been an bad day for me in this year 2010.. hopefully it won't happen again. Earnings and ctr never returned to normal statistics.
10:16 am on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
I noticed that too and wondering why.
12:29 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
Yes, March 3rd had one of the lowest click through percentages ever for my site. I keep seeing one advertiser who has targeted my site and has tons of ads, many of which are very similar. I keep blocking more and more of them, as they are so similar.
This morning, I blocked the advertiser completely. If others see that advertiser's ads on my site as much as I do, anyone who's interested has already taken action and probably doesn't want to keep seeing their ads.
I haven't had good luck in blocking what I feel are untargeted ads, as click throughs and earnings always seem to drop, but I'm going to try it again.

So far in march, my earnings are wayyyyyyyyyy below average :( if this is any indication of how March will turn out, I'd better run for cover.
3:13 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
I'm cool. Year to date, way up over this time last year.
3:16 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
Same stuff different month. March 03 earnings collapsed. March 04 eranings are a sick joke. Switched off interest based ads and blocked 88 'approved' advertisers. Probably won't make much difference either.
4:14 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
YES, today's earnings are really low and I think it can really take the place of my lowest earnings if this goes at this pace :( Hope not.
I've good traffic and have been using adsense for nearly 2 years now - Feels sad to see such days after devoting so much of time. I hope adsense are hearing this and will fix the ctr/ecpm bug :(
6:05 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
How can you tell for sure if an advertiser is targeting your website? Where do you find that out?
6:21 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
In total, things are going fine for me. A couple odd situations I can't figure out, but overall, things are fine.
What do you think Google can do about CTR or eCPM?
I hope adsense are hearing this and will fix the ctr/ecpm bug :(
With the possible exception of actual systemically poor targeting, CTR or eCPM are largely factors controlled by advertisers, the nature of the traffic a site gets and the content on the site.
6:23 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
Wow, this is starting to look downright pathetic. This doesn't feel right... Earnings are ~30% of what they are supposed to be at this time of day.
6:35 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
The stats have not moved for hours. Anyone else?
7:28 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
Minor movement but still way off the stats for a normal day.
8:50 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
Have to go with jmccormac here. Some micor movement, but earnings are way off the lower end of the scale.
9:26 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
Yep, things have barely moved in about five hours for me now.
11:29 pm on Mar 4, 2010 (gmt 0)
I am glad I'm not alone. My earnings bumped up a bit earlier, but it was one click that paid a lot. Yesterday was really, really bad. I made some changes to the ads for today, and I'm hoping that will help. We'll see...
1:04 am on Mar 5, 2010 (gmt 0)
Stats looked very normal all day for us. We're right where we should be at this time of day.
10:48 am on Mar 5, 2010 (gmt 0)
Same as BillyS and stats for Mar 3rd & 4th are perfectly normal.
2:27 pm on Mar 5, 2010 (gmt 0)
Sometimes I wonder, isn't earning suppose to be random? I mean, visitors' click should be random, right?
But how come daily earning vary only a little?
Yes, occasionally there are quite wide variance, but most of the time it is within daily average of the month.
3:18 pm on Mar 5, 2010 (gmt 0)
As of yesterday 3-4 things are looking up, today is looking good so far. Kinda like the stock market you never know how it is going to play out.
4:36 pm on Mar 5, 2010 (gmt 0)
Seriously, who filpped the friggin' switch? My earnings have dropped 75% since the onset of march, with no noticeable changes in traffic.
4:48 pm on Mar 5, 2010 (gmt 0)
LOL.. earnings have dropped indeed. Removed all other revenue sources on my main website and now it's only adsense :)
Compressed the webpage and looking forward to see huge pile of money, if not 'huge', even 'normal' earnings would suffice and make me happy :)
6:52 pm on Mar 5, 2010 (gmt 0)
My sites are a disaster zone today, every sites' CTR is down between 50-75%, I have siites that haven't even registered ANY clicks today with hundreds of page impressions and that has never happened before.
Something has changed big time or there's one helluva reporting delay.
FWIW the EPC is normal!
8:01 pm on Mar 5, 2010 (gmt 0)
Yep Husky I'm seeing something similar to you.
My second best site has so far achieved the grand total of 2 clicks! Which is so far removed from normal you just know something's gone wrong somewhere.
Traffic is normal ads are targeted.
10:29 am on Mar 6, 2010 (gmt 0)
Rechecked my account revenue and found around 150-200 clicks missing, this has been happening for around a week now! I fear I wouldn't make good money despite those 31 days for March when compared to feb, that comes with 28 days!.
Give us some love, Adsense.

How can you tell for sure if an advertiser is targeting your website? Where do you find that out?
Freedom, if I understand your question correctly, go to your the Adsense Control Panel, click the AdSense Setup tab; then go to the Ad Review Center.
2:36 pm on Mar 7, 2010 (gmt 0)
Looks like a nice day... Anyone?
3:26 pm on Mar 7, 2010 (gmt 0)
Have to agree with TamanRoyal.. earnings seemed to have picked up at this time of the day, it's more like the 'normal' statistics.
Let's have a broader view and see how this month performs ;)
3:31 pm on Mar 7, 2010 (gmt 0)
Looks like a nice day... Anyone?
Far from it. CTR okay, but CPC is abismal.
3:38 pm on Mar 7, 2010 (gmt 0)
Sorry to hear that, Lame_Wolf.
Guess today is not your hunting day.
