I did receive the $100 Adwords offer. But I am afraid to use it.
Over time, Google changes various things.
For instance, no content is NOT OK, but now we have Google for domains, which is OK.
Images next to text was OK, now it is NOT OK.
Arbitrage was OK, now it is NOT OK.
Here is my question. My sites are all information sites - I don't sell anything.
IF I were to use the $100 Adwords coupon, it could not possibly be anything BUT arbitrage, IMHO.
This would make me highly reluctant to buy Adwords, whether using my money, OR Adwords money.
Anyone have an opinion on this "free" arbitrage money?
One of which is "No Arbitrage".
|"Offer subject to ad approval, valid registration, and acceptance of the Google Adwords standard terms and conditions." |
|Types of sites that go against our guidelines include: |
* Arbitrage sites that are designed for the sole purpose of showing ads
Who decides this, in light of the fact that I am NOT SELLING anything? Is it arbitrary? I do NOT want to get banned.
Can some zealous newbie Google employee push the "Arbitrage" button on me? "Aha, nailed another one."
Adwords can keep their "trap" money, with all due respect. I'm not chancing it.

I also got the Valentines day card and got a chuckle. In my case that's all it was good for since the fine print specifies that the offer is good for new Adwords accounts only and I already have an Adwords account. I have run Adwords campaigns before, but only for a brief 4 - 6 weeks to introduce and "get going" a new feature on my site. At the time I thought I might be the subject of an "arbitrage" label but since the content of my site is extensive I thought it couldn't be labeled as having a "sole purpose of showing ads". And I never heard from them.

Wasn't sent as a Valentine but I had one for GBP75 - massively useful unless I wanted to put my account at risk as I am already signed up for Adwords.

I got the $100 voucher too, but no Valentine.
Guess G only loves me for the money....

Not sure why they would send Adsense users money for AdWords when they know this will create landing pages with AdSense on them.

There have been several other threads on this topic in both this forum and Adwords. The only response that I have seen said that it was a mistake on that particular individual's account!
Left hand - this is right hand - say hello!

I got one too but it was for new adwords accounts only. I have an account already so the google love was wasted.
