Yes the same here, number of click remains the same for hours, but impressions are growing..
3:26 pm on Dec 13, 2009 (gmt 0)
Same here, probably they're doing something.
4:05 pm on Dec 13, 2009 (gmt 0)
Certainly some form of delay.
4:11 pm on Dec 13, 2009 (gmt 0)
Anybody else seeing low figures today?
You have earnings? I couldn't buy a glass let alone the beer to go in it!
4:15 pm on Dec 13, 2009 (gmt 0)
If you're from Europe, there's at least some 'estimated' money in our account :)

Money is getting back now :-)
4:34 pm on Dec 13, 2009 (gmt 0)
WOAH! Major clickdump. Happy faces here :D
4:36 pm on Dec 13, 2009 (gmt 0)
Money is NOT getting back for me :( I was expecting a 'great' start for the day and ctr is down by 40%, the eCPM is down by 30%... this hurts :D
4:41 pm on Dec 13, 2009 (gmt 0)
Had a slight dump here. But still not normal. Fingers crossed there are several
more dumps later.
Thanks for the reassurance guys :)

I have the opposite problem, normal earnings but very low impressions.
5:09 pm on Dec 13, 2009 (gmt 0)
Very low page impressions and earnings this morning for me.
5:12 pm on Dec 13, 2009 (gmt 0)
>>I have the opposite problem, normal earnings but very low impressions.
This is what I'm seeing too. eCPM too high right now.

Just back from a short holiday and found December 9 - 12 totally in the toilet. Today's is reasonable but still below average. Picked a good time to go on holiday me thinks. Would have been tough seeing those figures for days... sigh...
7:40 am on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
Made a quick check and my other monetization programs are also hit. Could it be a seasonal thing?
12:15 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
Could it be a seasonal thing?
That's what I'm putting it down to, even our local bars and restaurants have been unusually quiet the past few days...maybe many are bracing and pacing themselves for Xmas?
Having written that, I drove passed the local UK's #1 supermarket and it was heaving and also, interestingly, so have been our local farmers' markets.
12:55 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
The last few days have been awful for me. Click through has dropped by more than half. I wonder if this could be a result of personalized search? Perhaps the ads being shown are not of interest to my site's visitors. If the wife and kids have been using the computer, there's a possibility the ads people are seeing aren't targeted at all.
Impressions are steady, as is site traffic. When I view my site the ads seem about the same as always, but I know that isn't representative of what others see any longer.
3:12 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
My clicks have almost completely stopped today, after 25% of a Googleday I've had 5% of my usual clicks...well and truly borken...or should that be broken? :-)
3:50 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
Yes, well, they gave me the new UI today, so even though I have zeros, they're *really pretty* zeros.
3:56 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
I just don't get it. The ads all look the same. So how can CTR suddenly halve?
They're robbing #*$!s that's why :)
5:44 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
Page impression is so low today so as the number of clicks. Earnings down by 60% ...
6:22 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
Almost same here ... about -40% so far.
7:50 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
Traffic wise yesterday was huge.
Today CTR is 1/3 of what it was on Saturday. Sorry Google but you're up to something and I really don't like it.
In 6 months my CTR on my main channel has gone from 3% to today's all time low of 0.3%
I don't give a hoot what google or ASA or my adsense account strategist says, this isn't related to seasons, visitor trending or anything of the kind.
CPC and overall earnings being down is all well but CTR suddenly plummeting is just BS.
Sort it out Google I'm seriously peed off with your persistant medling.
7:57 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
Today vs the past month:
Page Impressions: normal
CTR: 35% down
CPM: 50% down
This seems to happen every 2 -3 weeks for a day, then it comes back to normal - hopefully it is back to normal tomorrow...
9:45 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
today another record low for CTR and earnings. If it wasn't for good visitor stats I'd assume the site was down and I'm seeing revenue from cached pages only.
10:40 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
same problem all day. yesterday was also a problem but only for a few hours.
10:51 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
Gorg is the ultimate money machine, if there profits start to go down why not just pinch a little bit from there publishers? How does there stock climbed when there is a recession going on?
All they have to do is trim a little off everyone, why would not they not do it?
They are messing with so much right now with the serps, personalized results, real time serp's. It seems to be slowing down there indexing, bandwith ect. So this very well could be hurting there income, so why not take a bit from there publishers?
Being they are so transparent with how they do things only gives way for a little speculation.
Just a thought :)
11:52 pm on Dec 14, 2009 (gmt 0)
eCPM in the toilet - at low single digit figures the last few days. Regular advertisers seems to have gone missing. Ads still on target though. I wonder if they've been flushed out in the Adwords purge [webmasterworld.com].
5:48 am on Dec 15, 2009 (gmt 0)
Yes it has all sunk like a stone in the pond.
6:50 am on Dec 15, 2009 (gmt 0)
Kd454, this has been my thought for a while now.
I hope someday they're forced to be more transparent.
I find their ethics vile. But I need them, so have to take it on the chin.
