Hi all,

Im new to Adsence having been a MIVA Uk partner prior to them closing. Im currenly looking at Ad formats to see whats the best for CTR and would like some help from those experienced with Adsense and what works.

On a page about "blue widgets" where i list with detail 15 items of blue widgets down my page, i was thinking of listing my first blue widget item then 3 google adverts then say five or six more blue widget items then 3 more google adverts then the balance of my listings. In other words 15 own content items with two blocks of three ads mixed in.

Meanwhile, on the right hand side of my page, listing four blocks of 5 adverts, i.e 20 google ad listings.

Having read the posts about less equals more CTR would this many Google adverts work against me?. It doesnt look too bad from a mock set up ive done.

Because i think less people will click on adverts on the right rather than middle page this is why im keen to mix the adverts in.

Finally, one other question, if the same unique user clicks on different google adverts do you gat paid more than once? i.e its still a unique visitor to the advertiser? or do G only pay you per unique visitor clcik?

Thanks in advance

Rich

On the majority of my pages I now run one 336 X 280 above the fold and one 728 X 15 near the end of that page's content.

I believe there is no hard and fast rule. It's entirely what works for you alone. Two near identical sites about "blue widgets" will all too often experience quite different results.
