Way off-topic Adsense today
Anybody else seeing this?

So I'm checking out some pages on a web site about roofing, and adsense is showing ads about liposuction, drug rehab, accupuncture, and sober living.

So I cruise over to another site about pet sitting, and I see adsense ads about government apartments, dollar rent-a-car and locksmiths.

What in the world? Didn't I read somewhere recently that Google was going to improve adsense relevence?

I sure hope they aren't personalizing the ads ;) especially in the first section - maybe I need some help...

They might be. Have you looked into their "interest based ads"?

Actually I noticed it on one of my own blogs. Got a blog about government grants and the ads were about other things like emergency supplies and such - don't know where they got THAT from!

I guess it will probably be just a matter of checking with my sites to see if the ads are relevent and if not I will try implementing the section-targeting to see if that works.

I think there's a major problem somewhere. I posted about this not too long ago:

Had my worst performing day in about three years by a huge margin yesterday thanks to completely irrelevant ads.
