Adblock Plus plugin blocks format selection when setting up adsense ad

Firefox Adblock Plus plugin blocks the format selection area when setting up an adsense ad.

I'm not sure if adblock or google needs to fix this. A lot of people use this plugin. I don't see a feedback mechanism within adsense interface so just thought to mention it here.

I'm sure irony of an AdSense publisher getting burned running AdBlock hasn't escaped you.

Neither Google nor AdBlock need to fix anything because Google doesn't want you running AdBlock in the first place and AdBlock blocks google syndication which is where the format previews probably come from.

Turn off AdBlock, problem solved.

I can see it as ironic, tho I'd imagine many people like myself use adblockers selectively depending on many factors (which computer they're using at the time, connection speed, which internet neighborhood they're in, their present purpose of being online). Far from freeloaders, as sometimes stated (not saying you did), savvy web users utilizing adblockers can still provide many benefits to publishers other than clicking ads... but that's all been said before, I'm sure. As the format selection in adsense interface is not itself an ad, there's no reason it should be blocked.. just sayin.

You're running a site that depends on ad revenue for income... but you yourself use the bane of our existence, and ad-blocker? "Very odd" doesn't begin to describe this inexplicable behavior.

Ad-blockers are a problem. By using them, you perpetuate the problem.

Imagine if you were trying to resell magazines with the ads removed... hold that thought.
