Google hasn't given a time frame for when the change will be required, so I wouldn't worry about it being required too soon.
Leave it.
Besides - won't you have to open a new account when you change countries anyway?

I have written to Google about this since I may be moving from the U.K. soon and, as yet, have not received a response however their wording is clear: | Please be aware that once you have updated the currency in your account, we cannot reverse the change. We will also require this change in future so we recommend that you update your account soon. |

I think you can change countries (with some exceptions) and can do so by submitting an adsense support form. I am pretty sure this does not involve opening a new account.
As for the wait and see, it could be 6 months before I move which is a fair wait. Perhaps I'll wait a couple of months then make the change early - if I still have an account to change ;)

From memory there was a facility to write to AdSsence via a drop down box on Log In, which in this instance under discussion, included "Payments". As far as I know with the "vast" explosion of publishers this facility no longer exists. I wonder if AdSense's net profits actually have increased with all these relatively recent additions?
