Thanks for the information. I've tested AdLinks on various sites and pages for years and it seems they either perform very well or not well at all, not much in between. But it's certainly worth testing because the pages where they perform well make it worthwhile. FarmBoy

In the past I've asked Adsense to generate a separate "heat map" for the link units. I think it might be different. (There's been no response). I have found link units can help monetize a web page's footer, obviously a place people might be exiting a website anyway. Add placement heat map info.

Google's code for the page has some problems! The heat map is only on the non-secure server.

We added them just in the header just below the nav menu in black. Our main menu runs white links on red..They are still working well so as things stand they are here to stay.

I second Farmboy's comment. On my site, the few pages where they work they work very well. They just don't work anywhere else.

Has anyone seen the new image ads at the bottom of link units landing pages? An Inside AdSense blog post came out today about it ("Image ads join link units"). Hopefully this improvement will help make link units perform even better on your sites. ASA
