Thank you, thank you, thank you
Thanks for the increased filter slots and for letting us know.
Then again, that leaves four to go. :-)
|that leaves four to go. :-) |
Not exactly the love letter you expected ASA, right? :)
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Thanks! Glad to have it!
(now to work on that more channels thing...)
I wasn't aware that more filters could increase the load on Adsense servers so much.
I don't use the current limit but thanks for addressing one of the top five concerns.
Oh...I already have 500 :-)
I am bowing to the Buddha that sits on my Google fridge in my office.
Kicking my ruby slippers together and chanting, "there's no place like AdSense, there's no place like AdSense!
Don't worry I won't abuse the limits, besides slowing the server down I am sure it delays ad serving also.
Can we have block ads by keyword function next?
Things I would like to block:
christian moms who make a boatload of money while working at home
stimulus checks and grants
scams of all types
|(I'm an AdSense publisher, too, after all). |
This wan't just for you then ? :-))
Khensu, you missed one: wrinkles
I doubt scams use the keyword "scam" ;)
My competitive filter is empty (gave up on micromanaging that a long time ago) but I'm glad Adsense is addressing a concern that was in the top requests.
Thank you, even though I have hardly anything in my adsense filter.
Could this be the reason stats seem a little off today perhaps?
Thank you! It's a good start. :)
Thank you so much.
This is a great start.
However, with the amount of spam out there waiting to get on our sites we still need your help and more help.
I'm surprised that blocking by advertiser account isn't on the top 5 list.

You got me with the wrinkle cream, 52 just slipping a bit.
oh and who can forget:
the get rich quick guy posing in front of his car (that guy is like a virus)
And totally the most obnoxious
Make Bazillions of Dollars working part time with Google AdSense
But wait, there's more! Now how much would you pay? Only today we are going to give you not one but two!-!-!
I've got only 14 domains in my filter. Can I sell my 486 unused slots to somebody else? :-)
Been years since I used the competitive filter and even then, it was for only a handful of sites. For my sites, blocking was a waste of time and actually hurt the bottom line.
Sweet. Already at my limit. Thanks.
I had my girlfriend start a company and get an AdSense account and then gave her half my websites. That is how I expanded the filter on my own, betya she doesn't want to give them back now. We are only using about 60 slots in each filter presently, much better than a year ago when they were both full. I think they have done quite a good job of cleaning up lately.
See kissing up again!
I still only see 200 channels, and cannot locate any of the new changes. I have even rebooted the PC.
Why me ? Why is it always me ? LOL
as I look at my site which has as its main phrase a two word statement(don't wish to state it as it might be breach of TOS of WebmasterWorld) and see it covered in irrelevant ads, where adwords advertisers have stupidly decided to pay for ads on any site with one of the two names and there is no way for me to prevent the ads showing.
my site is about dog toys,
I get ads for balls amic vinegar
ok, #*$!ty example, but you get the message. If I could just ban ads from sites about amic or vinegar, i'd be fine.
its bad for the advertiser and for the publisher that I can not ban such ads.
As a result of course, my click through and conversion rates are miniscule, and probably I am getting smart priced.
I've filled up my competitive ad filter, and still they keep coming.
I wish to be excited, but am underwhelmed.

[edit reason] Let's keep it family friendly thanks. ;) [/edit]
Until we get the tools needed to filter keywords and advertiser by id, problems which you have described will never go away.
