A lot of the various tools have stopped working - I think maybe there were some changes to the API, or something. I had several different tools for Google Desktop - none of those work anymore. the FF AdSense Notifier plug-in still works on two out of my six computers, but I don't know why, or why it doesn't work on the other four (the working ones are XP w/FF2, and the other is Vista w/FF3 - and the other four that don't work are all Vista with FF2 or 3) Nobody's really updating them or working on them anymore, so I think you're just gonna have to start logging in again.

Whenever this happens it always rubs me the wrong way that several tools from supposedly non-related sites go down at the same time. Is all of the internet really so dependent on Google? I've lost two tools I use a lot right now and of course the backups on other sites are down too.

The FF Adsense Notifier has been playing up for at least a week now. It still signs in to my account but remains blank until I visit Adsense in my browser. After that kick start it updates normally through the day.

Yes, same for me as well. I can't complain too much since Firefox and Notifier are both free.

I think the issue is that every time they upgrade firefox adsense notifier has to be upgraded to catch up. Firefox 3 was a major challenge that notifier has not yet fully gotten over. It's a good little app though.

I just downloaded AdSense Notifier. The maxVersion is 3.0b5. The current version of Firefox is 3.0.7. I'd be happy to show you how to bump the maxVersion number in the add-on. That's no guarantee it'll work, but it might. <em:maxVersion>3.0b5</em:maxVersion> There's a link from the add-on page at Mozilla about how to fix the extension. It was posted less than a month ago. Something about fixing a password problem. [edited by: GaryK at 7:54 pm (utc) on Mar. 6, 2009]
