Google Chrome ads are getting annoying
On investment sites Linux sites, everywhere.

I saw the first Google Chrome ad on my investment web site yesterday. It was on a vaguely technology related page (about the semiconductor industry) but did not mention software or the web or browsers at all.

Today I say another on the Linux Mint forums. Chrome for Linux is not available yet! The ad even says "For Windows XP/Vista", on a site that no-one not a Linux Mint user has a reason to use (Windows users may look at the main site if they are considering switching, but the help forums?).

If these ads are relevant, I am a banana.

Just occured to me I should add I have no connenction with Mint, except as a user.

I wonder if the different Google departments have to pay each other, so are Chrome paging adwords to advertise? Interesting!

Adwords users can target groups like Technology (includes a-z site running adsense), Business, Software, Software > OS and so on. Those ads pays higher as compare to normal.

I also see the chrome ad more often lately. I`m just wondering whether it is a CPM, CPC, or Pay per download and Install (referral)

I also want to know. I often see chrome ads on my website. I used chrome its crap browser so far I have seen. Too many bugs the only thing i liked it opens fast!

I don't really want these ads which are dominating our outdoor sports websites. Daily adsense revenues have plummeted since these ads for chrome became prevalent.

Why? Well who in their right mind (who obvisouly already has a browser) would click an ad for a browser? Very unlikely that ocean or mountain sports people would.

Does anyone know what URL to filter these ads since google.com/chrome seems not to work
