I don't suppose I could ask what "extra channels" means ... maybe this isn't the time or place to ask (and I apologize if not), but I am curious. Thanks

Just had a click dump, but the impressions dont match up they are way less, hence the CTR looks way up and the eCPM look great, but from overall revenue something is still missing.

No click dump yet with 2.5 hours to go. Looks like today is shot. Going to be 80% down from my average! God help Google....

My stats have returned to normal. The pageviews seems lower, and the clickthrough rate higher, but the clicks and money seem right. Good.

I'm in Japan, I don't know if stats are updated at different times depending on where you live. But mine is showing normal data now, and has been for a few hours now.

I can not tell about the stats.

The login is down.

I see only the screen with login, but no "Loading..." and no "Username passwort entry"

Login possible after restarting MSIE.

Current stats and stats 50 minutes ago show:

They still catch up filling the stats in.

Last 50 minutes about 3 times better than an early Sunday morning (MET middle European time) is.

Saturday still 20% worse last Saturday.

Until stats stuck, stats had been better than last Saturday.

* There was a stats issue in the Ads system that affected stats related to Adwords, AdSense, TV Ads, and GFP.

* The issue started at roughly 4AM PST on Sat 2/14/09 and lasted several hours.

* The issue only affected stats and reporting. AdServing was not affected and all ads continuted to run as normal.

* Account access was normal during this time.

* As you can imagine, AdWords engineers are working to get all stats back online/up-to-date ASAP. The update process has started.

* No stats have been lost

* It is anticipated that by the end of today all basic stats at the Adgroup, Campaign, and Account level will be current.

* Advanced stats such as Product Placement Reports and Query reports for Friday, Saturday, Sunday are anticipated to be available by Tuesday 2/17/09

Just to update. As I feared, stats never caught up, earnings down 50% - same thing happened Thursday.

Why me google... why!

Edit: saying that, traffic does seem to have been down a lot yesterday for some reason.

When i open my account today i saw a sharp decline in my earning which was around $2.50 , the day before to 0.95 cent yesterday.I think because of this yesterdays stats halt, some clicks has not been registered. But my impression is ok.

Does anybody had felt this type of low earning because of yesterday's Stats halt.

Your comment will be appreciated.

Huh? As long as I get all my clicks who cares. But I hope
they're not going to lose my clicks.

Same in the UK, I have an amazing eCPM about one hundred times better than normal because the earnings are being recorded but the page impressions are not.

Normally I'd give my right hand for an eCPM like that but sadly this is just a stats problem.

Strangely, Analytics is showing about the correct number of page impressions and earnings and eCPM. So if you are desperate for more correct stats then look at them in Analytics.

early yesterday, saw eCPM of $196, which not too shabby; but declined - and then some - since.
Also seen the anomalies with stats; first thought maybe getting less pages viewed for some reason. Settled down quite a bit now; but yesterday's page impressions still look rather low; 20% would be about right. Earnings fair, tho.

Worst day earnings-wise since Jan 21, lowest impressions as well. My experience has always been that when Google has these "issues" or takes a maintenance day, it's going to be a lousy day for me. "AdServing was not affected and all ads continuted to run as normal" but i still end up taking a big hit. Things look back to normal this (Sunday) morning though. Best of luck to you all, hope you have a good February!

As far as I am concerned, I feel like this issue is just a continuance of what happened beginning January 12 and really took hold January 19. Page views slowed about 20%, but CTR and eCPM both dropped by about half. My earnings were significantly lower.

Yesterday (Saturday) was a joke, not even close. Today, stats seem to be stuck again, and, while I appreciate AWA enjoying his job more than talking to his sister, where is the Adsense rep?

As usual, publishers get short shrift, clipped on revenue and no communications, but, I suppose that's what we deserve by signing onto a blind contract in the first place. The ups and downs are pretty severe lately, for me anyhow, so my options are fairly clear.

While G is still my #1 revenue source, it's clearly time to diversify further. JMO

Looking at my stats right now, It seems that it is also stuck again. I check my website logs to be sure my logs are ok with lots of visitors but checking adsense stats, the page impression is way too low. And of course the no of clicks is also very low.

What can we do if we don't know what G is doing with our account.

Nothing. You can do nothing. You just have to believe Google.

No really, there is no way to validate the information that Google shows to you.

Wait - there's one thing: you could quit Adsense altogether.

But Google can't do wrong! After all, they say they do no evil.

Solidarity among publishers would be a step in the right direction, but, as we all know, getting publishers (or any group of independent entrepreneurs for that matter) to agree on anything is akin to herding cats.

Just for the heck of it, as an adsense publisher, here is a short wish list for publishers. Surely, not eveyone will agree, but it's what I'd like to see from Google.

1. An explicit understanding of what my split and what Google's split is on all clicks.

2. A dedicated team to deal with publishers as a group, ensuring that all publishers are treated fairly.

3. Since Google uses my site and the sites of all publishers to enhance their index (and their revenue) more appreciation of that fact with a better revenue share.

Here's an explanation of what I mean in #3. When somebody clicks on an ad in the SERPs (and Google gets to keep all the money), they should share that with publishers whose sites were on that page and did not get traffic. Instead, the searcher is essentially giving Google money to the detriment of the publishers who trust G to deliver organized, relevant results, i.e., our sites.

When they click away from the actual search results, we are penalized for allowing our sites to be crawled.

I'm sure I'll hear the counter-argument that G gives us free traffic, but that's a straw man. We grant Google the right to use our site content. We should share in ALL revenue.
