Adsense video units

I've searched around and found old discussions on the topic of using youtube videos with adsense and have still not found a definitive answer to the following question:

Is there a way you can select specific video units to embed on your site using the adsense video units?

Yes, I've figured out how to create the adsense player, filter on keywords and select a content owner. When I click on "click to preview videos," the specific video even shows up there by itself.

But when I used the adsense code to embed the video on the page of my site, it looks like google scrolls through all of the content owner's videos for each different pageview of that page instead of just playing that one particular video over and over again on that page.

And that doesn't do me any good. When I create a page on "how to make green widgets," I want the video by this content owner on "how to make green widgets." Not "how to make blue widgets" or "how to make red widgets." I'll create additional pages for each of those how tos. No one is going to want to go to a "how to make green widgets" page and watch the video for "how to make blue widgets."

Anyway, I've embedded the videos I want directly, but would like to monetize this, if possible, using my adsense account. Particularly since google still shows adsense ads on the embedded videos!

Am I out of luck?
