Adsense is down here, in USA South East.

Do you experience the same?

They found the guy who created Credit Default Swaps & Mortgage Backed Securities floating down the Hackensack River in Jersey. Disrupted the whole algorithm!

I haven't touched bases with ASA yet - but since this also came came up on the AdWords forum, I thought I'd check over here as well.

Please know that we are aware of this, and are looking into things - as a top priority, of course.

Thanks to all for the heads-up. ;)

Ha - just an update.

When I posted I was not referring to what Khensu reported - but the other posts before that. ;)

Yeap, but what has caused the outage? Yesterday and today the earnings are very bad as well as the targeting, despite increase in holiday advertisers.

It's back, but for the last 90 minutes about 1/3 less impressions than expected

I have learned to never say "It's back" right away, so I won't. That's what I am hearing, though, from advertisers, so I am quite hopeful.

Though I am expert in AdWords, I am not trained in the nuances of AdSense. In the AdWords side of the world, though, the stats that advertisers see in their account are delayed by up to three hours as a matter of course, under normal circumstances.

I would expect it to be even longer following a blip like this.

Oh what a lovely piece of information.

We've been waiting for this tidbit for ages:-)

Hmmm, then I've learned something too. :)

This delay is no secret. There is even text that says just that under the stats in an AdWords account. As I said earlier, though, I do not know if this also applies to AdSense.

In any case, since things seem to be back on an even keel in regard to AdSense logins, I'm going to stop checking back and stick with the AdWords forums now - where I'm really meant to be. :)

It was fun to be here, though, in spite of the issue that got me here in the first place. ;)

Best,

AWA

Of course it's too early to call, but my stats (eCPM / CTR) are now better than they have for 2 weeks. It would be a Christmas miracle to find out that the problem was Google's and it is now fixed.

Indeed. My eCPM/CTR shot up as well right after the fix, a very encouraging sign. Updation seems to be stuck again but I can be very patient if the eCPM/CTR are back where they were.

Surely it would have to apply to AdSense otherwise, I assume, we'd have lots of postings about removed clicks?
