To overcome the issue, I logged into gmail first. And then it will automatically login you in. Seems to be an old API call that is failing from the error message.

Saw that too and logging in via the Google account method bypassed the problem. Maybe the AdSense IT guys are too busy selling Google stock today as it plunges to worry about such problems.

This is a known issue and it should be fixed within the next 30 minutes. In the meantime, logging into your Google Account through a different product will work. Thanks for your patience.
