No, but a lot of people do travel this weekend, and those who don't may be busy with other things. I'm not going anywhere myself.

We'll see however my very bad start to the day has rebounded remarkably well with some great EPC and all metrics now looking normal which, I have to say looking at historical numbers, is not at all normal! Maybe there's a big stay-at-home?

I'm actually hoping for more staycations this year; I do better when people are looking for fun things to do close to home. Although I don't get to go anywhere either; I have to stay home and take care of a rapidly declining dog.

We are just doing day-trips this weekend. Nothing too fancy. But we'll be out and about for most the weekend. Hope my moderators are around! ;-)

What about all those people engaging in so-called "staycations"? What more fun could you have than surfing the web? Talk about a gas saver!

Holidays have traditionally been good for me, lots of folks sitting around talking up the good old days, which leads a few of them right to my site. | I have to stay home and take care of a rapidly declining dog. |
| Sorry to hear your pup is not doing well. No fun in that for either of you. May all go as well as possible.

Thanks. Worf is old, and can't get around very well, but he still seems to enjoy his life. He's not going to get better, though, unless we find a time machine. My primary site, having to do heavily with this particular holiday, is going like gangbusters, tho. Everyone go out and watch some fireworks!

I got my best ever click on a 4th July. Although the day did end up as average at best. I think more people won't be driving much/far due to the $4 a gallon. Boy, I wish I paid $4 a gallon. Cheap as chips, so they say.

Hello everyone! Hope you all have had a wonderful holiday weekend! Now, my visits to my sites are down about 35-40%. Is this the same for everyone with US visitors? Just wanted to check. Thanks!

Completely normal weekend traffic and earnings for me, in fact I could do with more stable weekends like this!

Yesterday (Saturday) was my lowest # of visitors in 3 weeks or so. And the PPC Google Adsense ads were pennies. A litle better today but not back to 'normal'. Dan

the weekend was great for me, but it is always the busiest weekend of the year for me. today, not so much. ctr currently below .3% for the day. sundays are always slow starters though.

| I did notice the ads changed a lot between Thursday through this morning, but this morning, the normal advertisers were back and today has been a great day (almost making up for the past few days).

Ad revenues on my best site are rock solid. I'd expect the site to drop like a rock, after all, it's about motorcycles, and you'd think people would be out riding rather than surfing the web... We do get a lot of hits from outside the US, though....

| The current price is €1,68 per LITER here in the Netherlands. Given the current exchange rate, that translates to rougly $10 per gallon. So yes, gas is actually dirt-cheap in the US :o

As always with the unpredicable adsense my numbers were way down on the 4th of July and that was my lowest earnings day to boot but interesting to note that while I had the lowest number of visitors that day it wasn't too low - I mean I did get some visitors that day! Ironically Sunday had less visitors but earned more money - I'm guessing because of the cpm which was double that of the 4th of July. However Monday was a "peak" day my highest adsense earnings for a day for so far this month

| Thank you for putting it into perspective for us spoiled Americans. It's hard to remember that even when we think we have it "bad," it's still pretty good. :)
