My stats are not quite right it appears for today. But even with the problems of yestereday I would welcome the outcome everyday for awhile. The bottom line was about double of what it has been lately.

ASA, could you confirm whether there are some regional DOS attacks occurring?

My up/download connections yesterday and today are terrible for some sites.

I've just had a thought (now that could be dangerous!), could it possibly be all the automatic Win XP SP3 downloads that's slowing stuff down for me?

Before all of my stats were stuck. Now page impressions are coming through but no clicks. So either bad day to make up for the good day yesterday or just running a little behind.

Hunh. If stats are actually delayed, then I'm going to have a banner day. I've had clicks pouring in all day; much higher than it's been the past week, at least.

Everything is (abnormally) normal
Fluctuations are natural and need to be isolated from this delayed reporting incident.

What would be interesting to know is what made them reprocess all the data yesterday, but we'll never find out.

I had normal # of clicks, but impressions were incredibly low, so ctr was way up!

I received a large update of page impressions but not a single click for the whole day. I hope this is just part of the process or today is going to temper the happy feeling left over from yesterday. Anyone else seeing this situation? Thanks

I received an outrageous number of page impressions from a single IP. The page doesn't have Adsense on it, yet AdSense showed just as many page impressions in a single channel as this page did. We're talking about hundreds of thousands of impressions so the numbers stuck out quite a bit.

I'm wondering, is this part of the problem AdSense was having or did someone launch some odd attack on me at the exact same time?

I can't wait to wade through the server log to find out if there are any clues there.

If the Adsense code is not on the page, I'm trying to figure out how Google could count the page impressions. Doesn't make sense to me.

In fact it turns out that a separate script that displays images on pages was run several hundred thousand times. The script is intended to discourage linking to my images. The image is on a page with AdSense but the page itself WAS NOT called. The logfile confirms this. Only the script with the querystring identifying the image was run. I can't find anything indicating why AdSense impressions match the image scripts.

best day ever for me yesterday - not including peak times like the runup to xmas. I hope it keeps going like this after months of being in some kinda sandbox.

Today has been a good day $$ wise. Yesterday was pretty poor, not sure if there's some sort of correction going on or what.

I've been working my tail off trying to keep up the bottomline. Seems like everytime (every few months) something like this happens and I drop back to less than I was before. I feel milked.

Indeed, I am about at the end of this run. Google has gotten very good at imperceptibly increasing the speed of the treadmill, it cannot be accidental. The water has begun to boil, the frog is dead.

Thank you ASA for the update.

I'm seeing business as usual right now, for those planning to report a fluctuation, please include the %'age compared to the same period in the last 2 years, also your range of traffic, clicks and earnings in terms of zeros: 0, 00, 000, 0,000, 00,000 ...

After having my best day on Tuesday since last September, Wednesday was my worst day in...oh what's the point?

Let's just HOPE that it really has been resolved!

This is horrible

I'm a little fish, usually averaging about three clicks per day. I haven't seen a single click on the site since Sunday despsite running above average on the number of ad unit impressions. Still in hope of a click dump before the week is out to make up the shortfall.

StuffOfInterest,
With all respect, when 2 clicks can double your earnings, you're wasting your time at the wrong forum waiting for a click dump. You should be working on building content and getting links.

Guys, without including traffic and earning ranges you're just blowing smoke.

Hobbs, it really is a hobby site. Actually does have quite a bit of content, but I don't ever exepect it to be a 100 click a day site. As long as it pays the hosting service I'm happy. I check in the forums once every few days just to see if there is anything interesting going on. I'll go back to my corner now.

StuffOfInterest, this place is not exclusive to any level, all I'm saying is that your time is best invested in getting more out of your site. Also that at the low end of the spectrum, minor fluctuations are amplified.
Now get back in or I'll come & drag you out.

AdSenseAdvisor are there any reporting issues today too? Number are way low from other days' averages for the past few hours.
