You can make money- you just don't get to receive it. :)

Rice Krispies? Oh wait, that's Snap Crackle Pop.
(Actually, I do. It's about pirated software.)
"It's about pirated software", there are some legitimate uses i.e no CD crack so you can play your purchased game if the damn thing gets scratched.
It's about pirated software (99.9999999% of the time).
Does it happen to be a game about pirates? ;)
If you have a legit copy, try asking the game company's customer support to replace the media. Most used to be willing.
wow... thats pretty funny! I'm surprised Google let him run that long and didn't shut his account down sooner. What was more amazing to me is the fact that he was earning $4000 from adsense... I guess I'm still an absolute small-timer!

Legitimate ethically, maybe, but not legitimate under the terms of either the DMCA or, most likely, the EULA you agreed to when installing the game initially.

Possibly buddy clicks and tip clicking.

Actually I am pretty sure they are legal is some countries where making backups is legal. DMCA = America.
Actually, you don't even need to run a crack site to get booted.
All you have to do is get botted and even though you have nothing to do with, or even know about it the will boot you out.
Just had it happen to me.
With Google, your Guilty until proven innnocent and they don't give you a chance to prove your innocence so your just plain guilty.
Of course there are those who will say, oh right what did you to get booted and I actually used to be one of those.
Now I know what all those people were talking about.
>>>and they don't give you a chance to prove your innocence...
I've been Reinstated - Adsense has let me Back in
A member recounts their experience at being removed from the AdSense program, but subesequently reinstated when she proved that she was not responsible for false clicks.
What to Do When You are Kicked Out of Adsense
A long step-by-action-step tutorial on your recourse when booted from AdSense
Thanks martinibuster for the links.
I had read those already. They are from 2005 and from what I've read here and elsewhere, it's like winning the lottery to have it re-instated these days.
I didn't get the chance to provide them any information. After I submitted the request form asking questions and offering any logs they might need, I got the standard "No Soup for You" reply that most other people get.
Not worried about it, Adsense was not making me a lot of money anyway and I've already moved on and will probably make more from other programs.
I just didn't like the fact the I didn't even get the chance to present a case. Good thing Google don't run the criminal justice system yet :)
