Congratulations.

Our December earnings were about $2,600. Our January earnings are just over $3,800. So the trend is looking good... :) It took us about 1 year to get to this point.

Re : Good to know you are above 3k and very near to cross 4k congratz :-) we are working hard to get up to that mark and add more content & good value to the website visitors

How much was your first month earning when you signed up with google Adsense. Was it few months back or few years?

Our site has been going almost exactly one year now. We put Adsense on it some time during the first month of operation.

In our first month (which wasn't the full month) we earned a whopping, humungous 1c! :)

The next month we managed just over $8.

And now, about 12 months after that momentous 1c, we are almost at $4,000. :) We're quite pleased with ourselves. ")

oh ok,
I work on my sites mostly on the weekends cause I have a full time and part time job during the week and am pretty busy with that!
but I would love to put in more hours on my sites!
Im planning to get rid of my part time job at night to get my life together after I save enough money!

More than $2000 is for me a question of a switch at Google search.

I was above 2000

March 2005 to June 2006
October 2006
Januar 2007 to October 2007

Now I range with 85% reduced Google traffic at $1800.
I assume as soon as they turn the switch again, I will see my first $5000 month.

I had the first shock June 27th 2006

The search traffic form Google suddenly reduced by 85%.

It's like a light switch. ON, OFF

Freaky

I am very pleased that my post inspired you.

There is indeed "much more in Google Magic Box!" The possibilities are basically without limit. And once you hit a certain level it just seems to compound and go up in leaps and bounds.

It's those initial hard slogs to get almost anything that are the testing times... and the point when many webmasters give up. Many of them may never make it anyway- for various reasons- but many probably eventually would, if only they'd push past the initial phase and keep trying, building, testing. Never give up! Like the saying goes- "The only way to fail is to quit." And it's true. Mistakes and lack of progress only help to show you that you should try something different, or do it a different way. And once you find the way... wow... it's a whole new ballgame! :)

We were lucky enough to already know the possibilities of Adsense firsthand... and the ins and outs of what was required for success... because we had already done this for a company my husband worked for. We created an Adsense earner (a quality site, not an MFA) that was bringing in about $6,000 a month for them. So, it's easier to create success when you "know" it's possible- for you- and not just for some nebulous other "lucky" site.

Just remember to make sure to always "wear your white hat"... follow the TOS and your own conscience and best judgment, don't be tempted to try for fast bucks by bending or breaking the rules or doing underhanded things. It's simply not worth risking your Adsense account by doing the wrong thing.

Create quality worthwhile content. Think ahead for the long term. It takes a LOT of work, thought and creativity, especially in the early days- but as time goes on it almost takes care of itself, and goes up even with very little addition as it ages etc, and when we add more content, we make even more money. :)

Good luck- I hope it brings you all you wish for. :)

Good luck..

we have been with adsense since 3 years and we cross $2000 many times same as we did $2353 in JAN, but the issue is google drop our site most of the times from the index. same as i got my one of the best site 30$ each day (very small site - 50 pages) dropped in 2 days only.

On feb 1st it was ranking high fi and on 4th of feb there is no page at all in google. can google delist any site in 2 days when there is everythign our copyrighted.. we were using 3 ad on a page.. what cud be the issue.. although i got my 2 other site on the same stage on daily income but still i need to examine what happened to the site suddenly..

any comment on this pls.....

thanks in advance..

We had this happen with a section of a site (not the whole thing) and the only thing we could come up with was that Google decided it had too many keywords (we had "possible search terms" listed down the side of the page, with a mass of keywords.)

We took these off and put the pages up as new pages, and they gradually appeared again and made their way up and never "vanished" again.

So, is there anything on your site like this, or anything else that might have triggered this response?

I almost hit $200 on January, my highest total in a few months.

My very first check, about 3 years ago, was also my highest: just over $300. So unlike almost everyone else, my first one was the highest, and I have never been able to get close to that mark in 3 years with Adsense.

I have about 250,000 page views per month, although Adsense is only on about 25% of these pages.

I know I could do probably double what I do right now, but I am so sensitive and don't want to ever put Adsense before the interest of my user, and their overall satisfaction when browsing and surfing the website.

I get sick and tired of some websites out there, especially the MFA ones. As soon as I notice they are just there to make money off Adsense, I just close them and don't bother.

The user comes first, and then, way behind it, come Adsense.

Hi Crystal Pegasus,

yes we do have keyword based pages in the navigation and i think we can not change the anchor text for those pages.. Can we.. and we also have keyword used in content like 8times for each 400 words, which looks fine i think.. what do you say.. sud we see into this matter..

thanks

Hi experienced.
That seems to sound ok, I'd say, just from what you mentioned. I think with ours it was the bunch of keywords on their own, in a list, not within content. But your frequency, within the content, sounds reasonable.

I am new to this adsense game since about October, and although I haven't had a $2K month yet my earnings have increased between 35-50% a month since I started my site! Congrats to everyone who hit the $2K mark, I hope to be there soon enough.

Do you only get money by people clicking the ads, and where is a good spot to stick the ads, that people will actually click, and how do you get so much revenue?

Theoretically yes, then all of a sudden one day & for some inexplicable reason Google may smack you straight between the eyes and reduce your earnings by a minimum 50% or more.

No one knows why, Google certainly doesn't tell anyone, it can be in ANY widget sector, you do not even need to have even changed anything on your site(s), you do not even have had to transgress ANY Google TOS, however it does happen and you will read about it here when it occurs.

The lesson is this, do not consider AdSense as a permanent or guaranteed income, treat it as a very nice bonus when those extra USD thousands are coming in but don't bet your life or house on it continuing at a consistent or upwardly linear track, it won't.

Having said that it is probably the easiest method for most webmasters to monetise a site and personally knowing just how much it costs to set-up a dedicated advertising program and back office staff to maintain it, for most publishers it is a no-brainer.

HuskyPup, you are absolutely right. Adsense is completely unpredictable. In my first month I earned 550 $, the second 850 $, the 16th 300$ and currently 550$. Tomorrow nobody knows.

I hear you.. and I've heard a lot of people say the same thing. I actually went for it in a big way about a year and a half ago. Personally, I'd rather roll the dice each month with Adsense than carry on slogging it out in a nine to five, that was definitely going nowhere! I earn about a quarter of what I did back then and have adjusted my life accordingly. I have time and freedom now though and that is something you can't put a price on.

Whilst I haven't suffered a 50% drop but have definitely felt the sharp edge of the sword recently and it's still not dampened my spirits. The lifestyle makes up for the pitfalls of riding this roller-coaster. Perhaps having a wide subject matter site helps smooth out the bumps, there again maybe the big one is still to come - who knows?

Re : Your question seems like you dont care about your website and nor your website visitors and what you really care is about adsense earning if this is the picture I am sorry to say but might be your site wont survive in long race.

Reply to your Questions

1) Do you only get money by people clicking the ads?
A) YES if only Txt Ads and NO if Image and Txt Ads.

2) where is a good spot to stick the ads?
A) Any spot where a user dont need to scroll the web page to view Ads

3) how do you get so much revenue?
A) My wife ask me the same question many times and I tell her there are some secrets not to be shared :-) (kidding) actually as compaired to other publisher I am no where there are publisher those who are earning $2000 per day and sometime I just wonder HOW?
