Normally wouldn't really look for payments this early..

But yes! PIP in India too...

PIP usually appears one or two days earlier for us, losers who still receive payment by check, pay $24 for DHL service, 3% + expenses in bank fees and wait 30+ days for checks to clear. Lucky us :)

Tennessee not yet either, I usually see mine on the 26th of every month and I seriously doubt Google gives a crap about Christmas and it'll be on the same day or possibly later...

No sign of monthly payment yet here on the U.S. west coast (California) - as of 7:10pm 12-20-2007 as I write this. I receive payments via electronic transfer.

I have been browsing around some of the related boards and the areas outside the US have seen the PIP line as early as the 19th! Even as of now there are some parts of Canada that have posted that they have the PIP line.

Why does it take them so long to get to the United States!

It is just so freakin odd!

They have already started the PIP lines for those in India and else where outside the US! Here is an excerpt:

"A WebmasterWorld thread named Bet on Google Paying Early in December says it all. Yes, as expected, Google has already started the "PIP" or payment in progress notifications to their AdSense publishers this month. Why was it so expected? Well, if Google's fiscal year goes by the calendar year and ends on December 31st, which I believe it does, then Google wants to spend spend spend, as much as they can before the 31st to get all the deductions they can possibly get before the new year starts."

Well that's the problem you see.....

Now that we have eliminated the popular belief that adsense doesn't pay early in December (we now know that they do) the next question that comes up (at least to me) is why those in the US have to wait so long for their payments when other areas are getting them as much as 3 days prior!

Don't worry Roseb, when you spend your December payment, many from mentioned countries will still have to wait for their November checks to clear. I'm absolutely positive that Google is not discriminating US publishers

Even if PIP apeared today I would be lucky to see it in my bank (paid EFT) in the UK before 3rd or 4th January because there are only a couple of bank working days between now and then.

It is irrelevant though as PIP is not showing yet.

It's the 21st and still no PIP for me on the East Coast in the US.

Its really a shame that there is no place that we can complain.

Why would some areas get it and not others?

Well, Roseb44170, it is important to remember we don't *know* that some people are seeing it - they could just be trolling.
Our agreement with Google is that payment will be made by the 5th.
Anything else is a bonus, and how right is it to complain that you aren't getting any extra ice cream in your bowl? :)

I have the right to complain because other areas have gotten their PIP lines as early as December 19th!

Why should the US publishers have to wait so long when other areas have already gotten theirs?

leadegroot is correct, as long as we see the money (EFT) by the 5th of January you have no grounds to complain.

There are just a handful of people that have said they have seen PIP over the past few days so it is clearly not just the USA publishers that are still waiting, but then again what makes you think the USA publishers should get priority over the rest of the world?

I didn't say that the US should get priority. Ironically it seems to be working just the opposite way.

You also have to remember that there are other message forums discussing this and they include posts from those that got their PIP line.

Again my complaint is with the fact that other areas have gotten their PIP - why not the US!

It's pretty simple really. Google only has so many days to calculate and "ship" payments to its publishers (worldwide) to meet its deadline. Assuming it takes 2 business days to have their payments received by the US publishers and up to 2+ weeks to some international publishers... Logically, one would process those payments which take longer to be delivered first. Yes there is a diffence between EFT and snail mail, but i'm sure it does take some time to process as well.

My PIP appeared on the 19th as well but I don't really care... all I care about is when the check is in my mailbox. Yes I still get paper because most of my bank tellers are HOT and they all think I work for Google! ;)

I thank you for that explanation and it does sound logical

but it doesn't mean that I have to like it - but it is a logical explanation.

By the way I'm posting this December 22, 2007 and its around 9pm EST and still no PIP so that means that if they post it on Sunday (which everyone has said that they don't do this kind of thing on the weekend) it may be available on Monday.

HOWEVER if they don't post the PIP until Monday then there will be a day wait because the next day after the Monday posting is Christmas Day so the soonest "had" day would be Wednesday (which is AFTER Christmas)
